It’s been 5 years since period C-drama Joy of Life (Qing Yu Nian) became a huge hit and the talks immediately of sequel has turned into years but now it’s almost here. Joy of Life 2 sees leads Zhang Ruo Yan and Li Qin returning but supporting lead Xiao Zhan who has become a much bigger star since then is not back for the second go-around. The drama just got its airing permit and Tencent is slating it as potentially the biggest C-drama this year for the platform. The drama is reportedly airing May 15th and talk in C-ent is how the other streaming platforms are pulling their May dramas to avoid going head-to-head with this likely behemoth.
