After nearly 2 years of being stuck in wranglings with her management company and being unable to act, young acting wunderkind Park Bo Young (who had a startling fast rise to stardom after starring in the 2009 box office champion Speed Scandal) is finally back to what she does best – acting. She’s about to start filming the horror movie Unidentified Video, and last month she guest starred in IU‘s latest single from her new album, the melancholy ballad “The Story Only I Didn’t Know”.
While I enjoyed Dream High tremendously, even had the drama flamed out (which it didn’t) I would have still been happy I watched it because I got to know IU, a young songstress whose voice has the soulful purity that is so exquisite to listen to. She’s not a bad actress either, so both IU and Park Bo Young are beyond talented young entertainers I’m pleased to keep an eye on for their future projects.
This song is wonderful to listen to on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Totally puts me in a mood to make a dent in another classic novel. It’s sad, but its evocative enough that it’s not a tearjerker insomuch as it’s a contemplative song of longing.

LOVE this song – the acoustic version is just as good, as is the other track on the mini-album. I listen to it on repeat all the time.
IU was definitely adorable in Dream High, and her character Pil-sook was possibly my favorite of the whole drama.
I love Speed Scandal that movie racked my brains out….LMAO 😀 PBY can hit G#7 like Mariah….she can definitely sing R and B and Jazz, Speed scandal reminded me of the scene where PBY’s son was sleep walking with his eyes open freaky!!!! ROFL 😉 Ok I like her, young fresh wish her the best on her projects!!!!
OMG yes. IU’s voice sometimes I feel like it’s as sweet as dripping of the syrup on the pancake. Plus she’s so young so there’s still room for improvement! 😀 I just wished her company stopped giving her the autotuned techno kind of music because her voice shines best doing acoustics (her Gee and Lies cover were awesome)
