Written Preview for Episode 10 of 49 Days

I can honestly say that this preview for episode 10 of 49 Days has elements I expected to write about 4 episodes ago. Which is to say that this preview contains plot development I actually knew was bound to happen, and really wished it didn’t take so long to finally get here. Before the drama aired I was hoping it would be a 20 or 24 episoder, and now I would the drama could have been 16 episodes and forced the writer to concisely tell her story. With that said, I think that gamechanger is finally coming.

Written preview for episode 10 of 49 Days:

Watching Ji Kyung playing the piano, suddenly an image of Ji Hyun flashes through Kang’s mind and superimposes itself on piano-playing Ji Kyung. Whether it’s the body language or head movement during the playing, everything she does is just like Ji Hyun. Kang asks Ji Kyung if she is Ji Hyun, and Ji Kyung nervously denies it.

Ji Hyun’s dad suddenly collapses of a nerve muscle strain. Ji Kyung goes to find the hospital, and when she sees Ji Hyun’s dad lying on the bed, her tears fall. On the other hand, Kang is worried about Ji Kyung not having come to work on time, and he goes to her house to find her. Yi Kyung sees this person she does not know and is frantic and confused.

Written Preview for Episode 10 of 49 Days — 6 Comments

  1. I kind of like the pace even though it’s slow. Realistically, 6 episodes in would have been too soon for him to vocalize his suspicions because the idea of it is just too out there. So it makes sense that he’d need to see a lot of evidence to even think that she was Ji Hyun. Having his at the half way point of a 20-episode drama feels about right to me.

They just need to work on minimizing the business stuff.

  2. as I watched a few family dramas I realized what I like about them no matter the length (between 30-50 eps) – Family Honor, 1% of anything, Smile You, Gloria, Three Brothers, Flames of jailbait sry Ambition, even Baker King fits somehow in the category
The pace isn’t as fast as in a 16 eps drama and we have more characters than in 16 eps with small and slow developments that only sometimes get faster -however the result is that the characters grow slowly in me and I get to love them more than the characters in a 16 eps dramas-this comes with a price I FF boring chars specially some Momsters-in-law( I feel like all have the same annoying lines)

with this writer I have the same vibes as with a writer for lengthy dramas , frankly I FFed her villains in Brilliant legacy as I do now with MinHo – I FF them even I’m a sucker for good written villains ( I have a full list of bad guys and girls in my fav list – Gu Ma Jun, Mishil, Kim Yeo Jin -Queen Jeongsun in Yi San, Foxy Hunter, Yoon Na Young (Shin Eun Gyung), oh my how much we love Lady Choi in DaeJanggeum; except Bad Guy – Kim Nam Gil as villain is perfect no matter if it is Public Enemy, No Regrets (hurt lil villain with a reason ) or QSD)

you are right about business scenes – are skip worthy – (as well as in Midas) and somehow 49 days ain’t the crack that Brilliant legacy was – maybe because the girls are more endearing than THA GUY(s) and Yi Kyung really is too screwed up for a positive char -for me she the most interesting one -however her suicidal attempts are a turn off for many ppl, on the other hand Thank God that I don’t have to watch again Momster on the chair blabering by herself, I’d love to have at least a few cracktastick episodes where I feel like I fell from the bed because of the chars (like unsuspecting YiKyung meets Kang, and better The Dead Scheduler in person) I need more crazy stuff to happen to YK just because she is a host – in fact all that happened until now it should have been a lil more (like double dose) to have the desired effect on me . Because this is a melo and not a rom-com the writer avoided the zanny which I needed and wanted so much (The Scheduler is zanny enough for now but I want zanny facts too)

    • Dear leona, I know that Minho & Injung are not purely villaineous. I watched too many dramas to know that every villain’s evil tendencies are a result of painful past experience, certain circumstances, jealousy or love. For example, Minho was most probably, quite definitely, probably poor when he was younger- which would spur him to take his bastid-ly actions. And Injung is plainly blinded by love.

Having said that, I would STILL totally kick his lying ass and make him do the 49-Days-Tear-Collecting Hunt himself. HA!
Let’s see if HE can find three sincere tears that would bring him back to life.

And that Injung needs a slapping to SHAKE HER AWAKE FROM HER IDEALS OF TRUE LOVE!
Girl, have some self-respect would ya? If your man sweet talks you to practically commit a crime, he ain’t the one!
Sheesh… talk about being a doormat.
