Let me preface by saying that I live, breathe, and sleep Lie to Me, so the lack of spoilers every hour, on the hour, is purely because SBS has suddenly turned into the Grinch who stole our collective minds and pulled an 180 on us all by keeping a tight lid on spoilers all of a sudden. Just so you know, I pass the time by reading LTM fanfiction at DC Gall and Baidu. Some of it is brilliant, and hits the spot. I do finally have a spoiler to share, so click to check it out.
So apparently Ah Jung is going on a blind date! OH HELLS YES. In your face, Hyun Ki Joon (psst, I still love you baby, but you been a very bad boy and need to suffer for a good long while before I deem you deserving of Ah Jung’s good graces). The date will be played by Baek Seung Hyun, who is a steady character actor for SBS, having acted in a slew of SBS dramas such as Shining Inheritance, Midas, and Prosecutor Princess, and is currently keeping Lee Min Ho company at the other SBS trendy drama City Hunter.
Now don’t go complaining they picked an ordinary-looking guy for Ah Jung, because that’s not the issue at hand. Ki Joon isn’t going to get jealous because the blind date is a hot guy, what’s going to kill him is that Ah Jung is (1) moving on (and bonus points to Ah Jung for acting like she doesn’t give a fig about Ki Joon anymore), and (2) the guy gets to spend time with Ah Jung when he can’t. I don’t care if he dug himself into this hole when he took off to console Yoon Joo for Aunt’s unnecessary cruel trick, and somehow ended up back together with her. Or even if he didn’t really get back together with Yoon Joo, but he merely didn’t explain himself back in that living room.
All I know is Ki Joon let Ah Jung drive away without either confirming or denying what Yoon Joo said. I’ve said this before, Ah Jung got herself into this mess, which is why she’s accepting all responsibility by coming clean with So Ran and absolving Ki Joon in front of Yoon Joo. But it was Ki Joon who crossed the line, not Ah Jung. If he hadn’t made the first move, multiple times, then she’d be perfectly fine. She deserves an explanation, and he deserves a slap on the face. I’m all set to spend time with jealous and tortured Ki Joon for the next few episodes. Who’s with me?

Here’s to HKJ stewing in jealousy! The mere thought that AH could be opening up to another guy, sharing colas or movie dates, will turn HKJ into a miserable mess. I hope the writers keep the story different from MNIKSS. Methinks the blind date idea must be from new-found buddy SR. I hope also the blind date is in World Hotel, in front of the staff & HKJ, so that the world knows it was a false rumour.

i totally agree.. lee min ho should just have made a cameo here.. when i watched the cameo of yoon eun hye in personal taste i saw the chemistry there. i even wished that she got son ye jin’s role because she definitely could play the part as well, maybe even better.
but because of the city hunter series that lee min ho is working on, that’s really impossible. if lee min ho is not available cast park shi hoo. with his killer smile and rock solid abs, hyun ki joon will be in for a good fight.

Thank you for the spoiler 🙂 I think that SBS is not as generous with spoilers as before, because there were complains on DC that they were giving out too many spoilers so watching the actual episode felt like watching a re-run. The present situation might not be a bad thing, because it keeps us on the edge and it makes us curious about what will actually happen. The downside : I might go crazy from all my guesses lol.

I like drama plot like that when the female is next to the male lead but he didn’t care and when the female leave him and move on with another guy… Then the male lead started to realise who is the one for him… I like to see how the male lead to get jealous and anxious about what’s going on with the female lead with her new date… hahah… need to knock some sense into the male lead to open his heart… hahah… I can’t wait to see how ji hoon get jealous and try to appear in front of ah jung or get ah jung to come to him… heehee…

Have you heard of the rumours that there will be a time-leap of sorts, and Aj will go away for awhile with SR, presumably. dang! they’re pinching all the spoilers. Everyone’s one’s trying to dig for any possible spoilers but nada… none that’s reliable yet, just assumptions.
I too have joined in the addiction of LTM, I have been watching from the beginning but it has gotten more intense now. It has gotten to the point where I check every hour for updates and it it is the first thing I check in the morning lol. It was a smart move to not show a preview, everyone is left guessing now and excited. By Monday everyone will be bursting with curiosity and glued to their TVs. Ok this was my hourly check-in lol see you in an hour ^_^
Ps: Some viewers have been criticizes the plot and the ratings have been so so but for a show that some people are saying isn’t that great, it sure has a way of pulling you in and making hard for us to stop watching. MNIKSS is a great drama but i really do hope they won’t have the same path of storyline. because in an area they are already the same, lead male is back w/ his ex fiance who went back after 3 years. hehe.. same number of years..
then again KJ is quick tempered so he will act directly..or plant a joke on the both of them ( like shaking a cola all of a sudden) .
..unless the PD makes him unable to react like how he was in ep 9..but that would be melo unlike the spirit of the romcom that LTM is supposed to project.. :)..

Unconfirmed spoilers.. in no particular order:
1. KJ goes to where AJ is.
AJ tries her best to hide from him but eventually they bump into one another.
AJ ends up telling KJ: “[seeing you] is annoying and i’m ashamed to look at you.. and it hurts too much” and ‘breaks up’ with him.
2. AJ goes to SR’s place.
AJ asks SR for help. She doesnt know what to do in this situation and wants SR to help her out of this (emotional) mess.
3. One of AJ’s colleagues finds out about AJ and KJ’s relationship* and asks AJ if it’s true. AJ denies it, saying it’s just a nonsensical rumour. [*i dont know whether this is about the fake marriage or the recent breakup]
4. SH is in desperate need to ‘solve an issue’ with AJ and fails to get in contact with her. He ends up going to the cafe, asking around if AJ has visited. There he runs into AJ and AJ has tears in her eyes and runs away. SH goes after AJ but is unable to find her.
5. A Han River duck boat scene makes an appearance.
6. YJ goes to where AJ is and wants to have a talk.
AJ tries her best to hold herself together and listens to what YJ has to say. YJ asks AJ to go meet KJ and wonders why KJ doesnt ask her himself. […huh?]
7. There are a number of scenes with the Ah-Ki couple sleeping/lying on the same bed. […woot?]
8. AJ can no longer hold in her anger and the unfairness of this whole situation that she hits/slaps KJ. […yay?]

I read that it’s from someone who has seen the script, is quite reliable and is kind enough to translate it for us. I did mention that these are all in no particular order…
Spoilers #1-5 are all highly plausible scenarios for episodes 9&10 IMO..
the rest, especially #7 (^_^), seems a valid scenario for latter episodes
i love scenario 7 & 8 =). Scenario 6 is ok, but looks like it could be on the last episode when YJ realized that KJ is really not into her =)
The spoilers seemed possible…
scenario 4 could be the scene in Ep 8 Preview where SH was looking at AJ walking down the stairs. This scene was not shown in Ep 8.
I’m thinking whether Scenario 7 could be a flashback of situation where AJ was drunk and spent the night at KJ and KJ asked her whether she remembered what happened during the night?
Or it could be flashback to boating after the cola kiss which wasn’t shown… But I doubt it.
Somehow I don’t see how AJ would get herself in the same bed with KJ after he broke her heart.

I also think the same , what I’m hating is the fact that he didn’t try to explain himself to AJ before she left hurt and crying and this eventhough he knew that she was feeling that way which means that he can’t do nothing for her and that’s why I’m angry at him .
he has to suffer , I mean really suffer and beg her forgiveness for a long time before she accepts his love once again .

I am totally glad that AJ is not going to run towards the Sang Hee direction, i think that wil be too petty. I feel that with AJ’s personality, she will severe ties with everything that connects with Ki Joon, thus the blind date thing. I love that idea that KJ is going back to his cold moody self, and that idea of meeting So Ran! So Ran, we want blood! >:(
yeah, i don’t want her anymore to hang around with sang hee. though sang hee have been helpful to her, somehow he caused some misunderstanding too. and since sang hee is ki joon’s brother, he would only remind her of ki joon.

I have a plot theory:
KiJoon and AhJung made a little whoopi after the cola splashing/kissing, AhJung will learn (around episode 14) she’s pregnant. The two brothers will be in the same two-level triangle because of the two women, YoonJu and AhJung. The younger brother, Sang Hee(?) thinks he and AhJung are fated because of their earlier meetings, he’s upset that AhJung seems to be interested in his brother, WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME he thinks.
We will have some brother/brother angst because of the two women, Sang Hee angst because AhJung is on blind dates, or dating. KiJoon will get to wear his clueless look for a few more episodes until he finally decides on AhJung, when his expression will change from clueless to determined. This should happen around episode 14 or 15 of a 16 episode drama series. YoonJu will end up with neither of the brothers, Sang Hee will be happy AhJung is a sister-in-law rather than a girlfriend, he finally grows-up. Our couple, AhJung and KiJoon, live happily-ever-after with wicked aunt finally accepting and behaving nicely towards AhJung because she discovers she’s such a nice girl.
TOTALLY with you on that .. he made the moves, he caused her pain … he deserved to get it back in his face! Ah Jung — get him back for the pain and embarrassment you had to go through!

Seriously with no Episode 9 preview from SBS (with the exception of those 2 school kids) and all plot lines kind off tied up, I have been dying of thirst in this ‘Lie to Me desert’. But finally I have found an OASISSSSSSS! Ok, here’s the 411 from all the sites I have been insanely going through.
1) Those 2 school kids that are featured in the ending credits of Ep 8 are Ah Jung & Ki Joon – as per their name tags. I know there have been a lot of issues with LTM, and to be perfectly honest initially I didn’t even see the chemistry between the main leads, in fact I though Ah Jung & Sang Hee had a far more intense attraction – but that all started to change by episode 6’s dinner. Given the little tidbit of the 2 kids, I’m beginning to understand why in episode 6 Ki Joon stared at Ah Jung so intensely when they talk about her history, why he becomes so attracted that Ki Joon the uber stick in the mud, the guy who can’t even have a hair out of place, throws down everything and kisses a chick he barley knows in front of a bunch of strangers, even though he’s still kinda inlove with his ex-girl. It because she and him are thesame, da da da! They both lost their parents when they were young; they both took on a lot of responsibilities early, Ki Joon more so than Ah Jung. (He’s like Sang Hee’s father and she was kinda like a little mother) But she still had a father and therefore still had some fun. Plus they both were very focused, hard working and responsible in their youth – so she get him and he gets her, plus with eachother they kind of get to have that childhood they never got to have when they were young – that’s what Ah Jung brings to the table, she’s fun and she make Ki Joon fun too.
2) It also seems that episode 9 will feature awesome new haircuts for both leads – suggesting a flash forward.
– The boards are saying Ah Jung is accompanying So Ran to Canada, as they both try to get over their respective fake marriages. When Ki Joon find out he rushes over to meet her, but alas he misses her. There is talk about Eun Hye and Ji Hwan shooting an airport scene, so either this was shot when she heads of to Canada or they meet when she comes back.(Still unclear on those details but she will be back on Sang Hee’s birthday)
– There is also another scene where Ki Joon is shouting at his boards of director or executives with regards to their sincerity in the Gold Resort Project; their afraid and he’s supper pissed (seems he’s been missing somebody). Latter Yoo Joo calls Ki Joon, either they have a lunch appointment or she’s calling to make one, he either picks up and cancels or ignores the call. She calls again; he continues to look at the phone but doesn’t answer. Suddenly she enters all smiles, the phone at her ear & they head out. In the lobby Yoo Joo is all playful and tries to link arms with Ki Joon, he untangles himself, she tries again, and in midst of untangling himself once more, he freezes and stares ahead. Yoo Joo looks up to see standing in front of them ….……… So Ran

I thought Ae Kyung is Ah Jung’s mom?!?! Her dad and Ae Kyung didn’t get married was because their daughter (Ah Jung) didn’t want them to do so. Which is why I’m confuse why she said her mom died?? Anyone please enlighten, thanx.
No Fenny, in my understanding…..AJ is the daughter from another woman I believe ……..so apparently, when Ae Kyung fell in love with AJ’s dad, he already had AJ as daughter.

Ae Kyung is Ah Jung’s father’s girlfriend. Ae Kyung’s parents did not want her marrying a widowed father of a little girl, but over time Ae Kyung parents accepted, but Ah Jung never did (that is till now), which is why they never got married.
…Lie to me still carries the title theme ‘coz the lie of fake marriage continue to carry on with the old chinese couple; also, both ah jung and ki joon kind off lying about their feelings for each other by pretending they can move on from their short prelude (cola kiss and ice cream kiss), hhehehe. Thanks I am enjoying every recaps and infos from here, as well as your enthusiasm for this drama 🙂
