Picture Spoilers for Lie to Me and What It Likely Means

I had to dig and search and apply the most strenuous forms of deduction to produce these spoilers for Lie to Me. I don’t have a definitive answer about what it indicates, though there are two possibilities. While my addiction to LTM hasn’t yet reached M3 levels, but it’s getting there. I also made the mental corrolation why I love the two dramas so much, when it qualitatively it just doesn’t have the legs.

It’s because dramas like LTM and M3 are all about the OTP and their emotional connection. It gets me right in the gut where it hurts. I cried as much as the end of LTM episode 8 as I did at the end of M3 episode 7. Yes, Yoon Eun Hye and Moon Geun Young can cry, but it’s really their characters I am hurting for, and that’s when I know I’m fully invested in seeing the couple in question get their happy ending.

The above two pictures are screencaps I took of episode 5 when Ah Jung went shopping with So Ran, and she modeled a couple of outfits. This dress was one of them. The pictures below have recently surfaced, and it’s been suspected that it’s a spoiler. I can now confirm it’s from Eun Hye attending an LG event, but she’s got a different hair style, and looks like she borrowed the same dress from her LTM wardrobe.

The picture below was snapped yesterday from the filming of LTM. It’s a top-down shot of Ah Jung.

With these pictures, I thinks its safe to assume that Ah Jung cut her hair (I LOVE her new hairstyle, BTW). Whether there is a time jump related to the different hairstyle, or simply Ah Jung got a makeover to change her mood, I can’t say.

But if you pair it with a picture of Kang Ji Hwan filming on the set, and he appears to also have a slightly different haircut (style and a lighter color), AND you add to it Sang Hee’s new haircut, then I think it’s safe to assume we’re getting a time jump coming right up. I don’t know how I feel about that. A time jump of a few months I’m okay with. Anything bumping up against a year and longer I would need serious justification to buy into. Why is it not Monday yet?

    • I saw a written preview for ep 9..It seems that AJ and So Ran leaves for Canada together and came back as good friend. Look like SoRan is also in the fake marriage in Jae Buem. When Ki Joon heard about it, he left for the airport looking for AJ but she already left. Ki Joon kep thinking of AJ the whole time.As time passes Ki Joon remains friend to YJ but YJ do not want Ki Joon to be free easily. On the eve of Sang Hee birthday…Ah Jung and So Ran is scheduled to be back from Canada and this time Ki Joon is there awaiting for her. From there their love relationships journey begins..

      • after watching ep8, i’ve been picturing for AJ to go to Canada with So Ran and back to Korean as a new woman who men can’t resist. i want to see KJ suffers a little. and based on your info of upcoming ep9, what i think might come true.. poor KJ, but you still need to learn a lesson of playing with someone’s heart. ~XOXO~

    I also hope the time jump if there is one doesn’t go over a year.. I love the OTP and feel their connection but seriously.. Could it be realistic to have people hurting even after one year and more about a beginning of something destroyed so quickly .. And KJ does have YJ by his side.. To wait so long would definitely play on his heart and maybe open it back to YJ ..
    I’m so waiting for mondaaay to come ! This show isn’t the best but i’m sure hooked on it !!
    Please let KJ suffer a bit but still.. Show us our favorite KJ-AJ’s moments! 🙂

    • lol! after 3 yr. still hung up on 3 kisses XD. i so want aj 2 start dating someone else. not a bunch of blind dates but the same guy repeatedly make kj turn into a high school girl w/ her 1st crush. lol! after kj stews in it for awhile he can find out the guy is gay or something. LOL!

  14. Oh gosh I just so addicted to LTM. Not even an hour I checked for updates again. And I am so happy I have this. Hmmm I think I am going to be like this for the next few days until Monday. hahahaa. If Ah Jung are to leave for 2 years, there might be a time jump for 2 holy years. That might explained the change of hair styles and so forth.

  15. I can see the word ‘LG’ at the background of YEH. She’s the model of LG Beyond, right? Maybe that photo was taken from the Event of LG and she’s one of the host… and maybe there’s no connection from the drama, LOL.. haha… i really don’t know.

Everytime I see her with short hair, I have to think of Kang Hae-Na! xD I loved her old hair cut as AJ, so I’m not sure how I feel about the change. ^^’ But she looks cute with every hair style so I guess it’s fine. xD *sigh* If only it wouldn’t be so long until the next two episodes come out. x_x

  19. I saw this on fb. I thought I should share.

    a bunch of executives are sitting in front of KJ, nervous and scared. KJ screams at them in frustration, asking them if the Gold Resort is some toy they can play with, and throws their reports in rage. After the executives leave his room, he lets out a long sigh and grabs his cell. YJ calls and KJ hesitates for a moment and then answers her call. KJ rejects her offer to eat lunch and has a disturbed/confused look on his face. Manager Park looks on at KJ. KJ gets another phone call, it’s YJ again. KJ just continues to look at his phone when the door opens and a smiling YJ walks in with her phone to her ear. The two walk out into the lobby. YJ tries linking arms with KJ’s but KJ moves him arm away. Feeling playful, YJ tightly links her arm around KJ’s and as KJ tries to move his arm away from YJ’s, he looks up and suddenly stops and stands still. YJ looks at KJ and wonders why his expression has suddenly changed. Standing n front of them is So Ran

        i’m still wondering how to understand the episode description for ep 10.. coz google translator just plain suck.. ugh

      • I stop watching M3 after episode 9, I take a vacation from Mary Christmas, I felt so overwhelmed with all the:

        Mu-gyul : Im your husband,
        Jung In: No Im your real husband
        Mary: I know, but I don’t love you !! I’m in love with my fake husband!!

        Common that for was a turn off!! I’m hoping I will end it, someday soon! But I don’t know yet!

  30. thanks koala for posting this! when i saw those pics a while ago in soompi i was like, i wish that ockoala have seen these pics and theories because only ockoala can piece them together in a manner that i will not have an hesitation in believing it. and lo and behold when i checked your site after an hour or so, it’s here. (all smiles and almost jumping for joy)

    SBS has unintentionally/intenionally made the fans resort to a scavenger hunt when they didn’t post any preview except for those kids.

    But after all the hard work of searching for spoilers and answers the fans has been through this week, not to mention the agony we felt when ah jung got her heart broken and the angst towards ki joon, we’ll surely have justified ourselves that we are addicted to this drama and stick to it til the end. haha….

    Oh wow, well, time jump it is alright, since everybody have their new do. So if Ah Jung did leave, why didn’t Hyun Ki Joon followed her to Canada? Such a jerk. Two years (based on what I’ve been reading from my fellow LTM addicts) is just too long. They might have completely forgotten each other, realistically speaking. Two years and Hyun Ki Joon cannot get rid of Yoon Joo when clearly he’s not romantically interested? Ki Joon, you drive me nuts.

    Still need to make a lot of tables and analyse those but I prefer analysing LTM stuff! I do want to watch the next episode, but I cannot wish that it would come sooner because it is when this darn paper is due. Aaaaargh! This is making me crazy and Ki Joon dear, you’re not helping me at all.

    Arg I really hope the time jump is short ! What the meaning if they are separate for long (year/years) after just the beginning (only one month fake marriage before So-ran was supposed to leave) ? So if she was away for long, and he is still with YJ more or less… I don’t know what to think.

    • there’s no time leap, first fact, check episode 1 during flashback of AJ happened ‘3 years ago’, checking the announcement if she passed the Civil Service Examination, you can clearly see the date was 2008, so 2008+3=2011, 2nd fact from episode 3, check the scene when AJ was in the lobby of the Dept of Tourism bldg. when she received the Violation Agreement from KJ, it was dated 2011. Right?

  39. Episode 10 description

    Note: Begged my student to translate it for me.. and she did try.. I’m not sure if her translation’s on the dot.. but it’s better than what I got from google.. LOL

    Translation:
    외국인과 같이 자리를 일어서는 기준은 아정 쪽은 쳐다보지도 않고 나간다.
    Ki Joon stands up with a foreigner, walks way and avoids looking at Ah Jung’s way..

    아정을 외면하는 기준의 얼굴은 굳어있다.
    Ki Joon’s face becomes stiff as he turns away from Ah Jung

    기준이 들어오는 걸 보고 일어서는 박훈과 이양.
    Park Hoon and Lee Yang both stand up when they saw Ki Joon coming (to their direction).

    박훈은 굳은 기준의 얼굴에 무슨 일인가 싶은데,
    Park Hoon wonders why Ki Joon’s face looks stiff,

    자기 사무실 문 앞까지 가서 문손잡이를 잡을까 하다 멈칫하는 기준!
    Ki Joon stops upon reaching his office door, hesitating (to enter) as he tries to grab the door(knob)

    한편, 아정은 피곤한 듯 걸어가는데 저쪽에서 오는 박매니저와 딱 마주친다.
    Meanwhile, Ah Jung walks with a sensation of weariness, she meets Manager Park
    who works there

    박매니저는 전날 기준에게 손 잡힌 아정을 목격했고, 아정은 박매니저가 그걸 봤다는 걸 알기에 서로 매우 어색해진다.
    Manager Park saw Ki Joon grabbing Ah Jung by the hand yesterday,so they become all awkward because Ah Jung knows that she saw all that

    박매니저가 못 본체 하고 넘어가 주자 다행이다 싶은 아정이다.
    Ah Jung’s relieved that she pretended not to see what she saw (the whole hand-grabbing scene)

    I don’t know if it all makes sense.. but I think it does.. coz I’ve seen a similar scenario in one of released text spoilers.. but I dunno.. hope it keeps you all full till monday.. lol

    • I didn’t make it clear, I know the picture was not from upcoming episode, but that it was a recent RL picture of Eun Hye. But since she has a different haircut, so it means we’re getting a new look for her in LTM. Plus she probably got the dress from her LTM wardrobe. That’s all I was deducing. 😀

  42. ah jung takes her job as a civil servant pretty seriously i mean shes let everyone know about her job already plus now she’s a project manager though she did undergo a terrible kind of pain, i dont think she’s the type to simply drop her job and go with so ran of all the ppl to canada she’s more likely got a haircut just for a change i hope they dont just skip a year i mean the kiss was hot but for somebody to pine away for a year over it is nuts !!

    they both can cry, and I also cried when they both shed tears,,,
    M3, love that drama…The GeunGeun Couple is such a cutie!
    LTM, Ah-Ki couple, a sexy couple! LOL!!!
    But on LTM, when Ah Jung’s heart was broken, mine too!
    i cried a lot when Ah Jung cries….can’t hide it, it hurts a lot!
    How can Ki Joon do that to her…

    this is interesting, don’t know if it’s a time jump or Ah Jung just want to forget what happened between her and Ki Joon..

    Ah Jung will be going to Canada with So ran. They will be back with a good friendship because So ran was also in a fake marriage with Jae Bum as well and So Ran does not believe in Love anymore.

    Ki Joon will go to the airport when he hears Ah Jung is Leaving for Canada but he does not meet her at the airport cause she already left.

    Ki Joon keeps thinking about Ah Jung as the time goes by.

    Ki Joon and Yoon Joon now are just friend.

    On Sang Hee’s birthday, Ah jung and Soran will be back to Korea.

    Ki Joon meets Ah Jung at the airport and their love will grow from here…

  50. wwoowow…i see soo much comments about this. i am soo glad that im not the only one obsessed over LTM. Doesn’t have the best script writing, but I so so so love and adore our OTPers (Ji Hoon and Ah Jung). I cant get enough of this show. thanks yous KOALA for always updating us with spoilers, it keeps the edge for curiosity. But ahhh, MONDAY is taking FOREVER! ughhhhh…nevertheless, its almost here. I hope there are the video previews for ep 9 and 10.

    I cant believe the time jump is soooo long. in reality, that would suck for both of them. Even though ki joon needs the punishing, isnt that too rash? ahh but i hope after these two eps, they can fall in LOVE again and become a couple again.   52. Qualitative Analysis now your speaking my language KOALA BEAR. According to a mentor a character written does dooms and traps an actors skills. Well Hollywood does apply the same thing you audition for a character, profiling is hard especially if the person doing it does not have an eye to identify strengths…. Well Coffee Prince what made it fascinating was the fact that YEH was really unattractive and the Hero was so gay in a way our brains are battling and is trying to process an identity crisis analysis…. very challenging for a zero expectations type of audience, yup I had zero expectations for that Drama. As for Princess Hours the story of royalty and the conflict of two prince with two opposite personalities was amazing, I wondered if Harry and William could relate. The uncrowned prince was so unpredictable and so stealing the limelight it made my head spin and turn. So tell me is this drama worth all the preparation cause really I’m used to seeing YEH being tossed and turned by two unpredictable men that simply makes her so pathetic I’m so all rooting for her all the way….is this show worth the wait for ENG SUB not the Canadian site…. 😉 Yup that younger bro ain’t so much of a stealer….someone break a plate to make it exciting 😉
