Written Preview for Episode 11 of Spy Myung Wol

The written preview for episode 11 of Spy Myung Wol definitively answers the question about whether we are getting some actual forward movement from the OTP, as opposed to the one step forward two steps back we’ve been subjected to for pretty much the entire run of the drama so far. Part of me actually thinks the drama should just shuck the plot and have the OTP make out and angst for 6 more episodes, which also might light a fire under the middling chemistry between Eric and Han Ye Seul. I want some heavy duty romance, drama!

Written preview for episode 11:

Having gone off-script during the filming, Kang Woo and Myung Wol confirm each other’s feelings, understanding the difficulties of their growing affection in the real world. Even though Kang Woo likes Myung Wol, but because he cannot be with her, he chooses to continue to date In Ah under the exchange that Myung Wol will be allowed to continue to be an actress.

Working under the request of Chairman Joo to find the remaining Four Books, Choi Ryu discovers that behind the Books there is a shadowy figure called “The Goblin”, and he informs the Chairman of this discovery.

Myung Wol works hard on set and continues to deflect In Ah’s attacks. But one day she can’t hold out any longer and collapses at her house. Kang Woo senses something wrong and hurries to Myung Wol’s house, where he finds Myung Wol…..

    • Couldn’t agree more.

I must have been the only viewer LMAO with ep 10’s ending. Seriously? Choppy directing and editing. The whole “shooting” scene felt so fake, staged, overacted, especially when she pulled the trigger. :/ Although I do like Eric’s acting skills a lot but Han Ye Seul not at all, I can’t connect with them at all. I’ll keep watching tho because it might actually get interesting – that’s the optimistic part of me speaking, not the realist one. Heck. Who’s to know with so many writers…?

      • its a drama in drama! their acting is supposed to be more “dramatic” and less like their real acting.

  1. Yea I understand your point Koala. For the past episodes, they’ve been running around the same circle which can get tiring no matter how cute their pairing is (for me, it’s still cute somehow although Kang Woo’s a pain in the ass on some eps). But, I’m more team Ryu than team Kang Woo. LOL =))

Why do I think that “the Goblin” is related to Kang Woo? I’m sure there’s something deep on his character that they are saving until the last few episodes of this drama. Can’t wait.

Thanks for the written preview Koala!! 🙂

    • The Goblin is actually a real goblin. He’s very smart cos he knows no one would even think he’s a real goblin if he called himself a goblin. He lives deep in the woods on top of a high mountain. He doesn’t like people to trespass on his property. Kang Woo’s father encroached on the goblin’s land the day he came looking for the ball. The goblin got pissed off and gobbled him up. Notice that they never talk about the father’s death. It was too grisly, cos goblins have big strong molars, designed for grinding and chewing and chomping.

      • I like very much this drama – and your post , Mayssenger .
Thanks a lot for your recap and previews , Koala .

      • huahahahahaha its great to read all these comments and looks like all have a possible future in becoming script writers 🙂 keep it up boys and girls

  2. or the goblin is actually kang wo father living as a secret relic hunter for the sake of north korean goverment ….hehe…worth the try 😉

  3. Thank you for the preview. I also understand that the writers have been very bad with the story. Eric is a good actor, but it’s impossible for him to perfom with such bad story. I continue seeing this drama because of the actors, but I don’t like the trama as of episode 10. My only hope is it will get better.

  4. I give up! I can’t do it anymore. I tried to like you, SMW, I really, really tried, but it’s just not working out. I’d like to say that it’s not you, it’s me…but I think it’s you. You have a gorgeous and charismatic man like Eric for your leading man, yet I just can’t connect to his character. HYS is doing a decent job as your leading lady, but why does a kick- ass North Korean spy let herself get slapped around and collapse so much? Why do these two have so little chemistry together? Why do I care less if they end up together or not? Why is the one character that can actually move me played by the worst actor in the bunch? It’s not like I hate you, cuz I don’t, I just don’t understand you. We tried it, it didn’t work, so let’s just be friends.

  5. Thanks Koala!

How I wish the writers have more faith in their viewers and develop much earlier the storyline of the four ancient books, the goblins, and Choi’s mission, instead of the trying hard to shove the push-pull romance of KW and MW. What’s the writers point for Myung Wol’s inconsistent character that they made her into such a weakling when she’s with KW? Considering all of these are supposed to be taking place in a span of 3 months??? And why am I looking for logic?? Oh well…

  6. P.s. Read elsewhere that the show is considering 2 more episodes of extension? Good lord!! I hope the show have good plans for the plot development. I like the show despite all the shortcomings but several more of the same may just spoil whatever I have liked about it.

  7. Well, I think the plot is getting more interesting.Looking forward to Monday 🙂 I feel that all the cast members are working really hard and getting more into their character.Continue to support spy myung wol people ^^

    • i know right. originally i hated the OTP, in favor of mw & cr sittin in a tree, but i think i can get into the OTP if they cut all the crap. i hate indecision. i really wouldnt mind ditching the OTP for mw & cr i think they they could burn up the screen with their “i want to but i cant” vibe. but the acting in the last scene was leaps and bounds better than anything they have done to date as the OTP and now i gotta know what is gonna happen. the tears, calling her real name, cr’s face…i’m all jitery needing to know.

  8. not alot of people have faith in this show. 🙁 but i don’t care. it’s good no matter what and i love it! i think that’s it’s only going to get better

  9. Since I was right about ep 9 let me go ahead and figure this drama out…well Part of it anyway. I think Eric is from north Korea or his father was. His father either escaped from north Korea or failed a mission which is why he’s dead. I believe In A grandad has something to do with it but I’m not sure.

    • yes! i had that thought too!! 😀
and personally, i like wacky dramas, so whatever. 😀
i know the story doesn’t make sense, but i like this drama better than heartstrings! no offense to heartstrings, but for some reason, i’ve been falling for action these days!

as for the collapsing…who knows? but i mean..i wouldn’t mind collapsing in front of a hot guy like eric..or lee jin wook! 😀

      • Heartstrings is so boring! It took til ep 9 for something exciting to remotely happen! SMW was interesting since the beginning. Ppl are complaining about the storyline but I think the radomness of this drama is amazing! ESP if Eric and Ryu shirts are off I’ll be collapsing all the time! Lol

  10. Actually it’s a bit of a suprise to me, getting to know that SMW isn’t that popular and has low ratings. I’m enjoying the show (I may say that imo the first few episodes were great, they kind of hooked me on, but lately there has been no progress in story and characters relationships at all…) But – I suppose I’m in minority – I loved the ending of ep.10 🙂
