Jung Woo Sung and Kim Tae Hee prove, for me at least, the adage that great onscreen pairings isn’t always about talent or acting ability as it is about the ephemeral thing called chemistry. LG Dios has teamed them up again (after they collaborated on the big budget movie The Restless) to sell it’s new line of kimchee fridges. They look great here, but they are hardly interacting so that’s not saying much. I’ve watched The Restless enough times (someday I’ll do a post about it) to stake my life on the fact that they have zero chemistry. Maybe even negative chemistry. All look, no sizzle.
The same thing goes for Song Seung Heon and Son Ye Jin when they did Summer Scent, which I’ve also watched way too many times despite it being pretty awful. Again with the no chemistry. But then when you play musical chairs with these four actors, suddenly the altera-pairings create two of the most unforgettable OTPs I’ve ever watched onscreen – Jung Woo Sung-Son Ye Jin in A Moment to Remember and Song Seung Heon-Kim Tae Hee in My Princess. With respect to LG Dios, chemistry isn’t really all that important when selecting spokes couples, but at least they picked two actors who look great together, as these gorgeous set of pictures prove. *drool*
