Video Preview for Episode 16 of Miss Rose

Episode 15 of Miss Rose was as fantastic as the previews indicated. The entire first half sequence at the Luo house had me in stitches. It’s wonderful for a drama to really allow its wacky side characters to display such hilarity and sweetness while pushing the story forward for the OTP. I thought Daddy Luo might have an aneurysm watching his wife, daughter, and son-in-law plot to pretty much shove Si Yi like a lamb into the wolf’s den. Or was it the other way around, and poor defenseless Cheng Kuan was the lamb thrown into the den of romantic crazies? Either way, the OTP return from their lovely date to a warm welcoming family eager to add more vroom to their burgeoning relationship. Watching MR is like spending an hour being happy. It doesn’t need to be quantified as quality entertainment, though it is, but more that the laughter is good medicine and the serious parts of the story keep me pondering issues after I stop giggling at the antics. Vivian really is freaking me out because her about-face now represents way more of a threat to Si Yi, though I have no doubts that Cheng Kuan will never ever like her back. It felt like poor Yi Chun was gone for two episodes and came back only to be completely out of the game now, what with Si Yi and Cheng Kuan already dating. But I don’t think he’s giving up anytime soon, and I don’t care what he does to try and win Si Yi back as long as he doesn’t hitch his success with Vivian and become the dynamic duo of plotting. I thought the ending scene to episode 15 was EPIC, and even better was Sheng Jun and Xiao Ke’s priceless reaction to witnessing it. Their “Oh. My. God.” conveys my sentiments precisely.

Preview for episode 16:

Vivian: You barged into our relationship and now you have the gall to lecture me? If you don’t want to shame yourself even more, you need to let go now.

Si Yi: If one day he’s no longer the all-powerful M&A genius, will you still be like this, insisting that only you match up to him?

Vivian: That is between me and Gao Cheng Kuan. I have no need to explain to you! What right do you have to say all of this?

Si Yi: Because I really like him!

Fortune-teller Lily: Didn’t I tell you already. Your love line is thin and weak, you are destined to be alone forever. And any man who is with you, will have bad luck as well. He will either be a professional failure, or his love life will be empty. Do you have the heart to watch your man be so luckless because of you?

Cheng Kuan: If you are worried that you will bring me bad luck, I can tell you know that I’m not scared.

  1. aw… You are so fast ms. Koalas and such an excellent writer.
Yeah, I felt a little bit sad for YC. Now that SY & CK are legitimately dating, YC is really left out and alone. Man, just one semi-wrong decision changes his love life totally.

It’s scary on the witch Vivian. SY is a bit weak and soft, I don’t think she can take all the hits alone from V and the psychic reader. Either CK or YC be with her, otherwise she would go into the mode of depression…. :o). Sadly

  2. I am so happy for the preview and so sad at the same time. Unlike Office Girls, episodes for this drama are slow to post. Episode 14 was posted yesterday and that’s without subs. So as usual i will continue to rely on you. Thanks for the preview.

  3. Thanks so much capt k for the updates!!! Because of you, I have an idea of what is happening in mr. I haven’t seen the last two episodes but I feel like I have just from your recaps and other mr posts 🙂 thanks again.

I honestly haven’t quite come across a character like ck. he is a little laid back chill but also a little hyper at times. I like yz’s new self but I wish he was more of a formidable love opponent for ck. I want to see ck work just a little harder hehe 🙂

  4. I just finished watching ep 15 for miss rose and I thought the ending was epic also.. Xiao Ke and Sheng Jun.. saying “OMG” out loud was freaking priceless!!! 😀

  5. The whole ‘fate’ thing is sad.. Usually the dramas follow it but I’m guessing this drama won’t? Or may be the lady is a bad fortune teller lol..

  6. EPIC did you say? Wow, I cannot wait to see this one. Wouldn’t it be interesting if Vivian had something to do with the fortune teller? I am actually surprised at the argument in the car in the previews (thanks, Pearl, for the heads up). Not because I “bought” the new and improved Vivian, but I thought that she would stay warm and fuzzy to everyone for a lot longer than an episode. I agree with Pearl about SY going into shut down mode about the fate thing. She was already to fight it in the beginning of the show, but now when she really has something important, I am afraid that she will become a passive weeper. Sigh. I would like to see her fight for herself the way she fights for other people. Did I see a YC hug in there?

    • Yes, you did see YC hugging SY and so did CK from far behind. It seems like the 3 authors of this drama really make SY strong to fight for other people, but it comes to fight for herself, they make her a soft one. Perhaps so that the 2 strong men can support her. Hehe… It’s going to be interesting to see the outcomes. Whatever it is, I’m hooked to this drama.

  7. Just finished episode 15, wow… Great! Great! Great! It made me laugh & blush. Her family is so fun to watch.Cheng Kuan… gosh, so HOT & handsome. I can watch his beautiful face all day… all night… & will never get tired. His eyes… expressive…the way he looked at her…I can feel his love for her. Looking forward to read your recap & watch this with English sub.

    • I would say they started out very awkward, but have definitely warmed up to each other over the series.

The laughing on the bed scene felt very real and comfortable between them.

  8. Finally watched Ep 15, and totally agree on all the praise and piling more on.
Funny – Laugh out loud, several times, smiling ear to ear, falling even more in love with Roy, if that is possible! Can’t wait for 16.
