Go Soo and Han Hyo Joo Light Up the Magazine Pages in Couples Shoots for Love 911

I love that Han Hyo Joo is so open to experimenting in both her image and her projects. She burst onto the scene in Spring Waltz with her glorious long hair playing the type of bright Candy heroine K-dramas love to trot out onscreen. Since then she was a fresh-faced sageuk ingenue in Iljimae, then she lobbed off her hair into a short bob for Shining Inheritance/Brilliant Legacy, and finally she donned royal sageuk attire for Dong Yi. She’s been growing her hair out for the last few years but recently she sliced it all off again into the shortest look I’ve ever seen on her. She makes even an androgynous haircut look girly and sweet on her. Her latest romantic movie Love 911 (Korean title Bandage) with Go Soo has been doing solidly at the box office since its release in early December. I haven’t seen it yet but I love how spicy and forward Han Hyo Joo’s EMT character is with the object of her desire Go Soo’s broody widower firefighter. I don’t think I’ve seen Han Hyo Joo not have stellar chemistry with any of her male leads, drama or movie, and this time looks no different. If only she acted as well as she generated great onscreen chemistry, then she would be the whole package. To promote Love 911, there have been a bevy of photo spreads with Go Soo and Han Hyo Joo on the newsstands and each and every picture just lights my eyes up with the palpable chemistry and complementary levels of pretty. Up next for Go Soo is the movie The Road Home with Jeon Do Yeon (he must be so relieved he dropped out of the mess that is The Great Seer), while Han Hyo Joo is filming Surveillance (Stakeout) with Jung Woo Sung even though she could be resting and swimming in the double whammy box office bonanza of both Love 911 and her sageuk movie Masquerade with Lee Byung Hun. I doubt either of them will be back on television unless it was a high profile project but they’ve put in their drama dues and I’m so happy for their cinematic successes.

  1. if only go soo is not yet married , I would surely ship these 2 together in real life .. they have amazing chemistry even in still pictures.

  2. I love Han Hyo Joo to death but unfortunately she is only showing glimpses of her acting talent. *sigh* She needs to pick better projects with better directors. I’m always in for cable drama for her because obviously cable dramas show the true potential in actors/actresses I considered as bad. 🙂

    • I actually enjoy Adlib Night, better than Always. Adlib Night proved that she doesn’t need to play candy characters all the time.

If 911 can maintain the momentum post-holiday, it has a shot to hit 3 millions mark.

  3. 1stly, thank you koala unni for made an article about Hyo Joo.
koala unni, I just want to correct that Hyo Joo has been filming her next big budget movie “Surveillance” or “Stakeout”, she even got this project before “Love 911” released..
Maybe you were already forgot your past article about the new Jung Woo Sung sunbae-nim’s movie, unni…^^
    thanks again..

    • My bad. I corrected it. I knew my I Lub You was filming Surveillance but totally blanked that it was with Hyo Joo. 😀

  4. Clearly marriage is making Go Soo a happy, happy (and really, really hot) man. I have to see this movie just so I can see him be a broody (and really, really hot) firefighter, all dirty and smudgy. Uh, you know, in a I-have-dirt-all-over-me kinda way.

  5. Does anyone else get a vibe of Nicky wu & liu shi shi from the two? I know they all look completely different but just a small vibe I got. 🙂

    • I read this post and suddenly think same to you. They (GS and HHJ) is similar to Nicky Wu and Liu Shi Shi, that is my feelings :)) I hear Scarlet Heart (Bo Bo Jin Xin) have a korean version. I hope Goo Soo and Han Hyo Joo will be Yin Zhen and Maertai Ruo Xi :))

  6. im so damn jealous! i bet his wife is not so happy too! lol
i remember them on running man and go soo ignored her a lot when she ask for help or questioned him lol. they look so cute together though.

  7. I love Han Hyo Joo on spreads but not on screen. I remember the time our whole family’s watching Dong Yi and my sister and I kept on saying Hyo Joo’s expressions are so limited.

  8. I love go soo so badly..hope in the next life,i can to be part of ur life….hope u fine go soo..good luck n god bless u.
