Bazaar Korea Features Womanly Yoon Eun Hye in Vietnam

If ever there was a chance for every Korean actor to try out a sageuk, 2013 would be that there. The television schedule is so jam-packed with sageuks there is literally something for everyone. Even if the drama ends up sucking a transformative performance in a sageuk still counts for something, for example Kim Tae Hee had made me a fan for her sincere and hard working performance in Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love. Even Ha Ji Won is coming back to television for a long stay towards the end of the year with Hwatu. I’ve been pushing for Yoon Eun Hye to do a sageuk for the longest time and I think she should strike while the iron is hot and there are bound to be more projects to choose from. I would veer away from the more cutesy elementary fare like Gu Family Book, and maybe choose a grittier melodramatic production akin to the upcoming Sword and Flower. Yoon Eun Hye was in Vietnam last month for work, which included shooting a photo spread for Bazaar Korea magazine. I’m a little underwhelmed by the photographer’s shot selection even as I like these pictures and think Yoon Eun Hye is bringing everything to life. She’s in Vietnam yet I don’t get any sense that the background incorporates the country, which is such a shame since there is so much to use as an evocative back drop. The old apartment building with a colonial aura can harken back to the French influenced on Vietnam but it’s so fleeting that one has to reach in there to make the connection. I like Eun Hye’s outfits, makeup, and hairstyles but she’s such a photogenic and charismatic print model I’m almost wishing these pictures were more than just very good.

  1. I loooooove her ever since lie to me ! She is gorgeous and the camera just adores her ! I love every thing abt her and I hope her next project is a rom-com I love her that way with hmmmmmm hyun bin (that guys from secret garden not sure of the name ) but NOT with Ricky ! Ah I hated them in missing u !!

    • Who is Ricky???? Did you mean Micky??? I liked them together but that’s just me…

Anywayzzz, I think everyone us waiting for a Hyun Bin-Yoon Eun Hye collaboration… we’ve already seen them in endorsements together but a drama or a movie will be so much better!!!

      Anywayzzzz, she’s gorgeous….

      • I’m pretty sure that Hiba did mean Micky since Missing You was mentioned, but funnily enough, Micky’s real life younger brother’s name is Ricky (Well at least that’s his english name, his korean name is Park Yoo Hwan). Micky and Ricky Park x3 I’ve always been waiting for a Yoon Eun Hye – T.O.P collaboration after that HOT photoshoot they did together a couple of years ago. But suddenly I also thought that Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Seung Gi would be pretty cute together too. They did a fridge CF MANY years ago and were adorable but I want a drama!~

  2. She look smoking hot with red lipstick. That colour suit her a lot.
I don’t really care where she took these photos as long as it’s pretty. Sageuk will probably broaden her acting range but I secretly want her to do a good modern drama, be it of any genre. Sageuk is just not my thing, I prefer chinese ancient dramas over sageuk..

  3. Never understand it when so much money is spent flying a team to a country for a photoshoot, yet the final product are all indoor shots which cn be taken anywhere. Sigh… She looks gorgeous though.

    • Because she had an event to attend in Vietnam at the same time… and she also shot pictures for Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam…

    • Ditto! That’s exactly what I was thinking too.
So much trouble, logistics and $ involvrf on a trip to get an effect they can get just about re-create anywhere else; with some creative imagination (and for far less $$$$$$), $ which can be channeled to other better causes.

She’s looking good, far better than sometimes in dramas where she ends up looking washed out or tired (depending on hair color, or lipstick choice).
Looking forward to her next drama.

    • Exactly! I’m thinking the same. Goong is not really ancient drama, but at least we’ve seen YEH wear those costumes, a sageuk-feel. Not bad either, she will still look great in sageuk drama & costumes.

  4. the brown dress by the staircase..her figure, her legs…she is really one beautiful lady..I love 1st,2nd,7th and 8th picture..my that one sexy woman..ya in Goong she really look beautiful in the blue hanbok..I don’t notice the backdrop because she is the main focus..Thanks Ockoala.

  5. I haven’t seen a bad picture of her. She could make plenty of cash doing ads/modeling alone but I prefer to see her on the small screen. Too many sageuks right now but I would check out hers.

  6. I don’t really care much about any pairing with her except for this one handsome dimpled hunk. It has to be Hyun Bin and NO ONE else!!! Please anyone, if you hear me, please let them just get together. Hyun bin will need a queen or a lover for his upcoming sageuk movie. fingers crossed..

    • It is Hanoi, Vietnam (Capitol). The building (Hanoi Opera House, built 1901-1911) is from when the French controlled the area. That is why it looks like she is in France/Europe and not Vietnam.

    • I think that’s a great combination. I would love to see them together in a drama serial. There is something special and distinctive about YEH. She breathes life into any character. Have loved her since first saw her in Goong and then Coffee prince and lie to me.

    • I think it’s impossible. They’re both stars in their own right. So who’d be paid higher? Is it ok for Hyun Bin to be paid lesser??? That’s what I noticed in drama pairing for YEH. She’s always paired with lesser-known actor, because she’s paid higher and the budget for the drama needs to be tight!

    • Pls dont disrespect Ms.Yoon Eun Hye. I am also from Philippines, but the actress you mentioned Park Shin Hye is another actress, YEH look-alike actually but smaller height.
