SBS Releases Pictures of the Full Cast Script Reading for Heirs

The official script reading pictures of the full cast of Those Who Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight: The Heirs (also known as Heritors) is out. It happened last month on August 5th, but SBS smartly withheld it just to keep that aura of mystery and excitement for a bit longer. Since then, the cast has successively jumped into the filming one by one, and as of today Lee Min Ho is somewhere loose in Los Angeles and may the odds ever be in your favor in locating him whilst he’s here filming. Locals may even want to camp out at the LAX Bradley arrivals terminal because I’m sure more cast members will be arriving soon, though Lee Min Ho’s early presence makes sense since his character Kim Tan is the one studying abroad. The script called for his study abroad locale to be Australia, but it’s not clear where shooting in Los Angeles will be standing in for Australia, or the script will be changed to Kim Tan studying abroad in LA. The full cast reading picture, which I posted below the jump since it’s insanely huge, includes leads Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, other high school students played by Kim Woo Bin, Kim Ji Won, Krystal of f(x), Kang Ha Neul, Kang Min Hyuk of CNBlue, and Park Hyung Sik of ZE:A, the parent units played by Kim Sung Ryung, Yoon Son Ha, Choi Won Young, Choi Jin Ho, Kim Mi Kyung, and Park Joon Geum, and finally the young adults played by Choi Jin Hyuk and Im Joo Eun. Okay, I’m going to have to stop with the cast recitation in every post because its exhaustion and time consuming. Everyone knows Heirs is written by Kim Eun Sook, but it will be directed by the PD of Midas, Tazza, Marrying a Millionaire, and All In. I have reservations about the PD change since I didn’t like the directing in any of those dramas, plus every single other Kim Eun Sook drama has been helmed by PD Shin Woo Cheol, who instead is probably worn out since he just finished directing Gu Family Book. Heirs premieres in mid-October after The Master’s Sun.

This is like Finding Waldo – can you spot the cast member you are going to watch Heirs for?

  1. to tell you the truth i didnot spot my new ICOMYM Kang Haneul in group photo but i’d settle with that guy with the backward cap 🙂

    • I know…. !!!!! I even transferred to my PC with the bigger screen… squinted and almost kissed the monitor… urrggh… no dice! Can’t.find.him!!!!

    • Thanks ripgal.. yup, found him… i can only hope d half finish bird nest is his off day hairstyle. If it does follows him to the set, i’ll definitely hunt down the cordi

  2. There are some idol grups actores that I’ve never seen before acting so I’m not having great expectations about their acting, but who knows. A Pinks Eun Ji turned out to be great!! Another thing is that I’m expecting Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye to be a cute couple and look good together but anything awesome. Anyway I’m still looking forward this. Even if this ends as a hot mess. A Lee Min Ho & Park Shin Hye drama is a must watch.

  3. well Park Shin Hye is an elder than any of the actors there maybe Kim Ha Nuel …10 yrs in the business don’t you think she is old..but her forever fresh looking face doesn’t look old, she did not change much maybe loosing some baby fats…anyway I am bias..I love her since her 1st drama…thanks for updating…

    • athena7 I agree with you about Shin Hye’s always youthful look. Some of her current self portraits look like she is a sophomore in high school instead of a young 23 year old.
I am a fan of Shin Hye and often wonder what her other fans think about people from other fandoms or those who just want to be mood killers deliberately get on sites that are showing positive news about her and use quite cruel or hateful, mean, nasty, sometimes very hurtful comments about her. There are a lot of stars I think just don’t cut it but have huge followings but I have never felt the need to intimidate the fans of those stars by saying such things. I really would like for one of the anti-fans that say Shin Hye is ugly, can’t dance, can’t act, has no charisma to tell exactly which show she was that way…..I would like to go back and see if I missed it. I think more it is people who don’t like her because she is a talented actress/dancer/singer and/or has lots of interactions with their favorite stars. They really are just jealous and that is such a pity to make a nice girl like Shin Hye feel bad because someone doesn’t “like” her. If you don’t like her just don’t watch her and certainly follow the rule most people grew up with — “if you can’t say something nice about someone don’t say anything!” Just my opinion ……just saying……

      • They are jealous , Pathetic and hate the successful persons like Shin hye is my example of courage and hard working Girl really she is amazing ,those anti or mood killers are just little for me only they can do is commenting with ugly words and insulting to show their stupidity and only represent themselves in the worst way shin hye won’t affected by those who have nothing , she will act , work , dance , sing and walks on the road of success but those losers won’t affect her spirit she is famous bcz her own ability not bcz being member of group of idols or company . she reach her goal after 10 years and really deserve to be star she make me her fan and I am proud of My shin Hye 😀

      • Remember that no one ever kicks a dead dog.
        In Dale Carnegie’s words:
The more important a “dog” is, the more satisfaction people get in kicking him. So remember when you are kicked and criticized, that it is often done because it gives the kicker a feeling of importance. It often means that you are accomplishing something and are worthy of attention. And that—indeed—is something you should be proud of!
I believe in other people having their likes and dislikes, after all we are individuals with our own perceptions……….as long as their opinions are expressed in a manner that is not vindictive but constructive and in a manner that does not cross boundaries. I just don’t believe in criticism for the sake of criticism

  4. Hmmmm, I wonder at this drama. BOF was the first drama I ever watched, so I had nothing to compare it to when I said I loved it. Fingers crossed Lee Min Ho doesn’t do another version of GJP, i’ve heard this drama is meant to be a cross between that and Gossip Girl (which became a train wreck!) I’ve never enjoyed Park Shin Hye’s acting at all…I remain anxiously anticipated!

    • Well she is always given a role of a village or interovert girl who first time in love, not much room for expression beside being shock at the first kiss

  5. I’ll only watch Heirs for Park Shin Hye but if the first five eps. won’t be good then meh, howeven beautiful the casts are, I’ll surely drop it. lol I’m not gonna have any expectations, I’ve already learned from so many experiences XD

  6. I live near LA area… yet I haven’t anything about LMH coming. Maybe my stalking radar is not good enough lol. I need to go find some fansites 😛

  7. LOL 😀 this screenwriter does it big this time 😀

btw what they do in this script reading meetings exactly? Do they roughly recite their lines?

  8. What a wonderful gathering of actors and actresses. How can anyone not help liking them. I belong to the vast majority of people looking forward to seeing them in action. Finally, the wait seems to have an end in sight. 🙂
