Lee Seung Gi and Lee Seo Jin Team Up for Bad Kung Fu Movie Parody CFs

Well, if you thought to yourself that all you ever wanted to see was Lee Seung Gi and Lee Seo Jin do a very un-PC parody CF of old school kung fu movies with bad dubbing from the 60s and 70s, then your dream has come true and you can check one off the bucket list. I don’t even want to know what went on in the brainstorming session to come up with….this. I’m genuinely befuddled in a “what the hell just happened” way about the two CFs released by a comparison shopping Korean website called We Make Price featuring two very prominent faces in K-ent lately. Lee Seo Jin is riding a career revival with Grandpas Over Flowers, not that he ever left but this is definitely a return to more mainstream pop culture awareness. Lee Seung Gi has been riding high for years but he did have one popular sageuk Gu Family Book under his belt this year just to brush off some of his acting skills for this year. The connection between the two comes in the form of diabolical Na PD, who roped Lee Seo Jin into being the luggage boy for grandpas in GOF and has now gotten his paws back on Lee Seung Gi (after doing Two Days, One Night together) for his spin off travel show featuring four actresses and one Seung Gi. These two guys have been paired together for the most bizarre CFs ever where they play gangsters and kung fu fighters and act out parody sketches from bad kung fu movies. I can’t explain, you just have to watch for yourselves. I know it’s supposedly to be funny but somehow I don’t “get” the concept even if I think Lee Seung Gi and Lee Seo Jin are adorable for being so game at doing these CFs and looking adorable while doing it.

  1. No matter how many times I watch the CFs, I always laugh. Hahaha.
Thanks for posting Ms. Koala. Didn’t expect to see this here in the playground. Thank you. ^^

  2. Aw, dimple brothers <3 Yeah, I don't "get" it, but it's amusing to see two such straight laced people act in a bad kung fu movie. So I can check that off my list of things I didn't know I wanted to see, but now I'm glad I did.

    • Love this!!! And had to laugh at your comment-It truly is something I didn’t know I wanted to see, but so glad I did! In the first CF, Lee Seung Gi is looking a lot like a young Russell Wong from the Vanishing Son series in the nineties. Always had a huge crush on him. 😀

  3. wtf am I watching!! So funny lololol. Love Seo Jin to the max. This has potential to be a viral youtube video if enough people spread it around.

  4. LOL I never got it myself… They’re just screaming ‘it’s cheap’ and anyday I would have rolled my eyes and shook my head, but I was just laughing out loud.

Seung-gi looks hotter by the day (which isn’t saying much I suppose since he has always been hot). Like bullette above said, it hit a million views in a day I think – so I suppose the producers got what they wanted lol.

  5. Wow, I think Lee Seung Gi is definitely starting to mature a lot. Though it makes me sad to think that he will soon go to the army (although the silver lining is that he will definitely come back a man from there).

  6. The connection between the two isn’t Na PD. More like Seung Gi is the connection between Seo Jin and Na PD. They’re friends and in the same company. Seung Gi asked Seo Jin to guest in 1N2D’s friend’s special, that’s were he first got his nickname “Art School Hyung”.

  7. Oh wow!!! I too will check off my things I didn’t know I wanted to see but glad I did (thanks for that comment Melissa). Laughter is always welcome in my book. I’m also glad that LSG and LSJ were game enough to do it. Thanks for this post Koala.

  8. OMG, both Seung Gi and Seo Jin don’t have the slightest clue of what they’re doing with Kung Fu or any martial art for that reason.

Love Seo Jin from Grandpas over Flowers, but he should never do another martial art CF unless he studies for at least a couple of months.

Seung Gi looks like a nice guy and a decent actor, but his “moves” in Gu Family Book were so horrid, I want to see him ACTUALLY doing martial training before I want to see him “do martial arts” ever again.
