It’s the 5th year the Korean entertainment industry has run its annual Good Downloader Campaign aimed at curbing piracy and illegal downloads. Good luck with that, but the campaign always gets the most famous and gorgeous stars to participate and dial up the interest. This year the participants are Jung Woo Sung, Ahn Sung Ki, Ryu Seung Ryung, Lee Jung Jae, Ha Ji Won, Han Hyo Joo, Go Ah Sung, and Kim Woo Bin, and all 8 of them are featured in the October issue of Instyle Korea magazine. The photo spread is titled “intellectual elegance”, whatever that means, and appears to be the when movie-making meets smart chic red carpet attire. Since my I Lub You is in it, obviously my interest was piqued, especially since it’s been years since he did a photo shoot with long time real life BFF Lee Jung Jae. I’m sorta resigned the letting them stay in movies since the K-drama landscape just sticks them in useless tripe like Triple or Athena: Goddess of War. This year alone, Lee Jung Jae has been experiencing critical acclaim and box office success with New World and The Face Reader, while Jung Woo Sung did the successful Cold Eyes with Han Hyo Joo. In fact, everyone on this particular Good Downloader Campaign is having an exceptional movie career recently – Kim Woo Bin has Friends 2 coming up, Go Ah Sung is in the Hollywood movie directed by Bong Joon Ho called Snowpiercer, Ahn Sung Ki has Top Star with Uhm Tae Woong and will be with Jung Woo Sung in God’s Hand in 2014, Ryu Seung Ryong has been cleaning up on the awards with his performance in Miracle in Cell No. 7, and Ha Ji Won did As One and The Huntresses in the last two years. In short, this is a particularly pretty photo spread with lots of established and promising K-movie stars. No complaints here.
