Two upcoming K-dramas started filming recently and I’ve decided to lump them in the same post because my excitement over both is pretty much at the same level. Excited but cautiously optimistic. Fans of stars in either drama needn’t fret I’ll split the love, the SBS drama You From Another Star airs on Wed-Thurs after Heirs, while the KBS drama Prime Minister and I airs on Mon-Tues after Marry Him If You Dare. Heirs and MYIHD happen to be the two K-dramas I’m currently watching rabidly, so I hope its successor continues to keep my interest. First up is the cast of Prime Minister at the script reading and doing first poster shoots. I adore Lee Bum Soo, I quite like Yoona’s look for this drama, my darling Yoon Si Yoon has an unfortunate bowl haircut but me likely the glasses, and both Chae Jung Ahn and Ryu Jin are solid second leads to add the tension. If the thought of 40-something Lee Bum Soo romancing a 20-something Yoona disturbs you (it doesn’t for me and I quite like a return to the older man-younger woman trope), then how about a 400 year old Kim Soo Hyun as an alien romancing a Hallyu actress played by Jeon Ji Hyun. The cast of YFAS held their own script reading and the first BTS pics of Kim Soo Hyun from both the modern and Joseon sets have also leaked. Looks like Yunho won’t be part of the YFAS cast so I breathed a sigh of relief, but Yoo In Na and Park Hae Jin are both easy on the eyes and a nice complement to the main leads. Both drama premiere in early December so it’s time for the production to bust out my fave Winter outfits to attire everyone warmly and raise the temperature on romance, whether of the alien-human variety or the prime minister-tabloid reporter contract marriage trope.
Interestingly I’m more excited for Prime Minister and I as the set up of older man -younger woman is refreshing….and yes…I’ve overcome the initial disappointment of the casting… 🙂

I feel the same way; we finally get an age difference that’s actually worth agonizing about instead of the usual “I’m 2-5 years older than you, how can our love survive” lol…

uhm, not really a fan of yoona but yes, everyone else in the cast are my fave, start that with lee bum soo and to top that yoon si yoon. 🙂

so happy, it’s high time that i’d be able to watch dramas. the last i laid eyes on is I hear your voice. 🙂 i do skim on secret and on the look out for all woobin scenes on heirs but that’s it. woob is what’s keeping the drama a-live. 🙂

I’m excited to see the Joseon parts of You from the Stars. Alien adapting to life on Earth could be filled with hijinks.
Wow loving Yoonas style, and Yoon Shi Yoon looks adorable in glasses.I`m more exited for Prime Minister and I because feel i already watched You From the Stars, the story sounds so familiar i can`t put my finger on it.
That said, i`ll be watching both dramas the moment The Heirs and Future Choice end.
I actually can’t wait for Prime Minister and I! I really like the premise, and LOVE the male cast. I think it will be quite cute!

For yfas i think they will do just fine..the leads are strong!
Well Prime Minster and I will have tough competition from Empress Ki that already has solid ratings and also that Han Hye Jin drama.
Can you imagine if the idol actress has better ratings than two top actresses in same time slot? The reaction would be priceless.
I’ve never watch any of the main leads drama before but I like the storyline so I’ll definitely tune in. I’m quite surprise that Lee Bum Soo is quite short, but it’s okay! 😀 lol
