Kim Tae Hee Is Sweet and Playful in Spring Fashion for InStyle Korea

Spring and Fall are the two major fashion seasons and with the arrival of Spring 2014 that just means the fashion magazines will be bursting with celebrity pictorials in the latest and greatest designer and make up trends. InStyle Korea magazine straddles the fine line between fashionably chic and relatable for the masses and has carved out a nice niche where I usually find their spreads easy on the eyes without being too by the books. The March edition has a Shining Stars segment featuring some of the leading actresses in K-ent and I was especially taken with Kim Tae Hee‘s spread. It’s not a location shoot but manages to incorporate creative backdrops with an eclectic fashionable ensemble of Spring’s bright and colorful frocks paired with a wild hair day for Kim Tae Hee. She’s rocking the latest styles from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burberry Prorsum, and Christian Dior. It’s absolutely adorable and all the more enjoyable because I like her so much. It’s been a year since she had an acting project, the last one being last year’s sageuk ratings disappointment in Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love. Her co-star Yoo Ah In is back on the small screen right now with Secret Love Affair with Kim Hee Ae but there is no word of Kim Tae Hee taking on her next project. She could conceivably earn a good living on CFs alone, but her acting maturation shows me that she has the potential and I hope she keeps honing her craft. Dating Hallyu superstar boyfriend Rain might be a full time gig as well, who knows, but I also wait for the day those two make a public appearance together. I can imagine the hot and sexy and smushed together. For this In Style spread, Kim Tae Hee goes for cute but not saccharine and luckily she can still pull it off.

  1. I’m shocked. I am so used to female Kdrama fans taking a collective dump on Kim Tae Hee. I am a male Kdrama fan, so I won’t lie that the first reason I became a KTH fan is because of her looks, but she has been improving since Iris and I absolutely loved her as Lee Seol in My Princess.
