Stars Light Up the VIP Premiere of Song Seung Heon’s Explicit New Movie Obsessed

It’s past mid-May which means the full blown Summer movie season is just ramping up in a low key way. Kicking things off a bit early for the K-box office is the Song Seung Heon explicitly-rated affair movie Obsessed. I’ve posted trailers and stills which showcase the heady sexual love obsession the movie title refers to, with Song Seung Heon’s army colonel in the Vietnam war falling for the ingenue wife of his subordinate. Newbie Lim Ji Yeon plays the object of the colonel’s obsession, Jo Yeo Jung plays against type this time and isn’t the sexual target for once but is instead the long suffering wife, and Oh Joo Wan is the poor cuckolded husband. The star-studded VIP premiere was probably one of the biggest so far this year which reflects Song Seung Heon’s star power and deep set of friends and costars from his many years in the industry. Director and writer Kim Dae Woo who also helmed The Servant and Forbidden Quest also has plenty of fans for his great visual flair for the sexually intense movie genre.

I do wonder if Song Seung Heon is a mite embarrassed to have so many of his friends and former leading ladies all show up to watch him pretty much take it all off and try to emote in a making out position half the time. He’s not exactly a thespian to begin with, this performance could either be a breakthrough, proving Song Seung Heon’s acting improves in reverse of how much clothes he has on, or could fail in flaming glory. The movie opens this weekend and I’m eager for the first reviews to trickle in. Too bad the star walk of attendees happened prior to watching the VIP showing, maybe the ladies would be all flushed and atwitter if they had to pose for the cameras after taking in the showing. As for the premiere itself, nothing to write home other than everyone got the same color combination memo – black, white, or navy low key outfits only keeping with the still somber mood in K-ent.

    • I was just thinking the same thing, what the hell is up with the messy look and is not even like fashion wise but just the clothes are all wrinkly or not fitting properly.. it’s weird.

  1. It`s gonna be so awkward when the sexy scenes come in. That poor rookie actress is probably gonna die from embarrassment, your first movie and Koreas most famous stars are watching you getting hot and heavy.

  2. Ack. What the…everyone needs to fire their stylist. And is the angle just weird or did Son Ye Jin get work done on her face/botox? It looks so shiny. I hope it’s not true!!

  3. WHY OH WHY CAN THESE PEOPLE (MOST FAMOUS KOREANS) NOT WHEIR APPROPRIATE CLOTHES FOR EITHER FILM PREMIERES OR DRAMA PRESS CONFERENCES, I MEAN THEY ARE HUMANS TO AREN’T THEY? DO THEY NOT HAVE COMMON SENSE? OR DO THEY LOOSE THAT WHEN THEY ENTER THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY? OR ANY JOB THAT REQUIRES THEM TO BE A PUBLIC FIGURE OF SOME KIND?

sorry for the dramatics I’ve just had enough of their sh***y fashion sense.

  4. wow, some seriously sloppy outfits. I couldn’t recognise some of them and in the bad way. Nice to see the yellow ribbons on some of the actors though – thats a sweet gesture.

  5. Lee Min Jung, Joo Won and Sulli are the only people looking nice. Everyone else seems to be sporting some bizarre fashion. :S

  6. At least Song Seung Heon looked gorgeous in his black suit and skinny tie. But he makes everything look good.

    • Indeed. He looks gorgeous. But then again he always looks yummy with or without his clothes on.

I think all his former leading ladies might wish that they are the leading lady in this movie. At least I wish I was ^_^

Looking forward to watching THT dropping that infamous towel of his.

  7. Some big stars there. All giggling behind their popcorn I bet, too.

Oh SSH, I hope you are really good in this. Prayers. LOL.

  8. Almost didn’t recognize ome of these actor/actresses.

Anyways does anyone thinko or see this new actress looking like / similar to song hye kyo?

  9. i think the movie premiere was just around 1 month after korean ferry accident so the entertaiment workers still keep the tone low even for a movie premiere with stars..

  10. And then in another part of town, more specifically in Dongdaemun’s Megabox theater, an anonymous netizen picked 표적 (the target) over the flick above and was in no way dissatisfied with her decision. I highly recommend it, in spite of its crude violence, both physical and emotional, not just for the leads’ performance but mostly for Jin Goo’s. In my eyes, his characterization of Sung Hoon was the most spot-on as well as his interactions with Jeon Ji Hyun, also in “Obsessed”. Took my breath away.

    • Whoops. My bad. I had meant Jo Yeo Jeong, instead of Jeon Ji Hyun – who was everywhere, from TV CFs to boards outside.

  11. What a star studded premiere this is, I’m wondering how will they’re reactions be, about the sexy scenes, it would be an awkward moment to each one of them inside the theatre. kekeke

  12. SSH looks awesome in this movie as in in any other . He can carry off anything with great class and elan that’s so typical of him . With his impish charm he gets away with anything that is even a little offbeat for an actor of his standing .He even makes the love scenes look so casual that for a minute you forget that its an affair that hes having :).
His eyes speak more than words .
The forbidden route taken is carried on effortlessly and made to look like it is common ( ofcourse these days it is almost like its a rule , or so the researchers say ).
On the whole it depicted the 60’s culture beautifully including the costumes and every other detail which made you go on a nostalgic trip back then .
