Temptation with Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo Entices with Dramatic Posters, Stills, and Teasers

There is nothing wrong with the upcoming SBS Mon-Tues drama Temptation, other than it’s dull as beans title as the fact that it looks dark and therefore guaranteed depressing. There might be nuggets of human nature wisdom to glean from it, but is it worth the trudge through downsville to experience it? I don’t know how I feel yet since its predecessor Dr. Stranger is still rattling in my brain. Gimme a few days and once I’m in possession of all my wits again, I’ll have a better sense of how Temptation might, ahem, tempt me. Starring Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo in their first reunion since the Hallyu hit Stairway to Heaven, which was a basically a Korean makjang take on the Cinderella tale, which would actually be clever if it was subversive enough but instead just tried to play it straight. Both leads have improved their acting talents since then, though each are still known for being terrible at enunciation with Kwon Sang Woo’s lisp now becoming a calling card of its own for him.

This drama also got lots of early buzz when Yoon Eun Hye was courted to complete the love triangle with Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo, and she smartly passed on it since her star power was going to butt up against the reunion good vibes and likely muddle up the audience reaction. In the end Park Ha Sun and Lee Jung Jin joined to round out the main cast and now there are lots of official stills, drama posters, and teasers to whet the appetite for those of you in the mood for a dark melodrama. I’m not sure this one is necessarily makjang, but will definitely skirt on the edge of taboo as Choi Ji Woo’s rich lady offers married man Kwon Sang Woo money to pay off his staggering debts in exchange for “his body”, whatever that means. Park Ha Sun is the beleaguered wife while Lee Jung Jin plays a smart cold character.

  1. I’m glad that YEH passed on the offer to play the wife because it looks like she’s trying to kill herself in the teaser…..

  2. I wonder what yoon eun hye is up to recently besides the movie. I’m dying to know. I hope that she will have drama this year. I also glad that yeh give up on this coz the wife role is like the second lead coZ the aura of both cjw and ksw is too strong. I just look at them and easily forget about the wife and the other guy

    • i think its the poster doing. i’m doing to ask this too before. when they want to cast YEH as the wife it said that she will be the main lead but after CJW confirm the wife character seem like a second lead now. all poster make it like the lead is KSW and CJW. i don’t really care but just curious.

  3. I also want to see YEH soon, but I really miss her, I’m glad I reject this offer. praying that soon appears, just makes me really need it.

  4. I don’t get YEH fans logic. So you guys want her to be forever the lead actress in a rom-com. Sometimes people need to be humble. What is wrong to be a second lead in a drama if the storyline is good and it will make audience root for the second lead.

    • No it’s not wrong at all. In fact we will support whatever role that she take. She will play small role in Blood Merchant and we were fine with it because we know she is working with very talented people. Don’t simply assume and judge. It’s just a matter of personal opinion an it does not reflect every fan.

  5. Is Park Ha Sun and Lee Jung Jin characters going to have a love line as well? I feel like if that happens, the chemistry and sexual tension between them will definitely overshadow the main one.

  6. Choi ji woo is awesome! My main reason for watching this drama. She doesn’t disappoint. Great, beautiful actress! Love you cjw!
