Bazaar Korea Pays Homage to Audrey Hepburn with Three Beautiful K-actresses

I give a concept thumbs up to Bazaar Korea for thinking up an Audrey Hepburn homage and pulling it off beautifully with a twist. My problem is that it’s so good I wish the magazine did more rather than three pictures. Bazaar features one actress from each of the age brackets of 20-30-40 styled in an iconic instantly recognizable Audrey look. Go Ara does Audrey with the black turtle neck and classy makeup, Jo Yeo Jung is vacationing Audrey in Roman Holiday, and Chae Si Ra is Manhattan chic Audrey for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This spread was done for the holiday issue of the magazine to coincide with charitable giving and all the outfits worn by the actresses will be auctioned off and proceeds donated to the Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund. I really love how all the actresses are so different than Audrey’s gamine style but pull off the warm homage with the same graceful spirit.

  1. Lovely concept & execution. These ladies pull off the Audrey-look perfectly! Hopefully interesting ideas like this one will catch on. Which other actresses would be good subjects…? Elizabeth Taylor? Grace Kelly? I’d love to see more of these.

  2. Very good pictures. The photographer has managed to capture the ‘essence’ of Audrey Hepburn without making Go Ara, Jo Yeo Jung and Chae Si Ra look like her Asian clones.

  3. Audrey Hepburn my all time favorite actress ……is a difficult one to capture because of her unique sense of style, elegance, and aura that jumps out even in the pictures. It’s much more than getting ones picture taken with the same hairstyle and clothes.
In my opinion……….They look good but do not come near the iconic actress of the bygone era in their portrayal…………… Park Shin Hye’s spread portraying Audrey Hepburn is the only one coming near capturing her essence …………
