C-Queen In Hyun’s Man Drops First Pretty Teaser Ahead of February 15th Premiere Date

I’ve been tapping my toes impatiently waiting for the C-remake of Queen In Hyun’s Man to drop me a video teaser or two. The pretty (so so pretty) drama stills are nice and all but I want to look at the mood in action. I remember being uninterested in Queen In Hyun’s Man until I watched the brilliantly done teaser that featured leads Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na as mannequins in a store window. Remember that? It was creative and insanely gorgeous with the two leads initially looking plastic and then morphing into living beings before leaping out of their respective windows to meet in the real world.

The first teaser for Love Through Thousands of Years doesn’t disappoint, and even better is the production not copying the original QIHM in teaser concept and presentation. The two leads played by Zheng Shuang and Jin Bo Ran are seen walking across a bridge from opposite ends each holding an end of the red string of fate. He slides a ring down the string to her as they take turns narrating their love story which basically boils down to – fate led us to meet through time and imma going to dare to love you. It also helps that Jin Bo Ran’s time-traveling warrior is Han Chinese hence his visual costuming is so different that Ji Hyun Woo’s Joseon scholar, giving off the assurance that this may be the same plot but go down like a different meal in the end.

This time is what time. Encounter at this place. Meeting must be destiny. I want to see you, who fears two thousand passing years.

    • I am one of the few, who despite being an historical drama lover, never watched the original. I just not a fan of the Korean leads, both the guy and girl are so overly botoxed, I can’t see anything else, when they are on screen 🙁

I am really looking forward to this retelling, cause many people seemed to have enjoyed the story, so if the story here is similar, I can’t wait to watch.

I am just so glad, I decided to take the plunge and finally visit this site, after years and years in the Asian drama watching world. I think the fact that this is one of the few places that discusses Chinese dramas was my first push. Now that Kdramas are beginning to annoy me more than entertain, having other options, story styles, actors and an entire entertainment industry, where the threat of minor scandals, derailing a life long career, doesn’t hang like a knife at the participants throats.

  1. What are the chances of Zheng Shuang actually gonna act out the hot kisses in QIHM in this adaptation? I adore her as an actress since she’s likeable but she nevers or barely does kiss scenes But correct me if I’m wrong…

    • One of the reasons Zheng Shuang doesn’t really act out kiss scenes is because previously she was in a relationship with Zhang Han. So she refrained from too passionate acting out of respect for her boyfriend. She actually turned down roles too. They broke up last year, but there might still be residue effects. It is so sweet and so sad at the same time.

  2. Looking good! If I remember correctly, this is the same production team and writer that did the other to Time travel drama – ‘nine’?

  3. This blog is becoming a joke.. I thought this was robin-hood blog but it’s actully far worse.. you cover boring and random stories 90% of the time..

  4. Does anyone know if any site will be subbing this in English? Ms. Koala if you happen to know could you please provide a link? I wish C dramas were readily available as kdramas are.

  5. Maybe it’s my imagination, but in the teaser I think JB looks like a cross between Seo Kang Joon and Jung Yonghwa. I think I have kdrama overload. 🙂

  6. omg her face looks so plastic it’s scary. i thought she was pretty before, but omg, i cant believe she did that to her face…
