Park Shin Hye and Kang Ha Neul Considering Rom-com Movie Happy Facebook

With the sprawling young cast of Heirs, there is bound to be reunions at some point down the road in either a drama or movie. Some reunions would be right up my alley, like Kim Woo Bin and Park Shin Hye doing a drama together one day that would finally let the only pairing that worked for me in Heirs become a reality in another setting. Other pairings just seem so random, like the news that Park Shin Hye and Kang Na Heul are currently considering the rom-com movie Happy Facebook. They would play a couple in the movie, to be directed by the director behind the Yoon Kye Sang and Kim Ha Neul movie Lovers of 6 Years. I like both Park Shin Hye and Kang Ha Neul, don’t get me wrong, but if there was an Heirs reunion I really need her with Woo Bin as soon as possible.

I think Park Shin Hye and Kang Ha Neul will be a fantastic pairing for the movie, despite my initial disappointment the male lead wasn’t Woo Bin. Kang Ha Neul is so deserving of his slow but steady rise, not only a humble hard working acting but also very very talented. I’m also really happy both of them have solid movie careers developing, dramas are nice and all for viewers to spend longer stretches of time watching their faves on TV, but no young actor can reach the next level without gaining legitimacy at some point in Chungmuro. Lee Min Ho recently got there with Gangnam 1970, while other popular twenty-something IT boys of K-ent all have hit movies like Yoo Ah In (Touch as Iron, Punch), Song Joong Ki (Werewolf Boy), Kim Soo Hyun (Thieves, Secretly Greatly), Lee Jong Seok (The Face Reader, Hot-blooded Youth), Kim Woo Bin (Friends 2, The Technicians), etc. Park Shin Hye is one of the few twenty-something leading ladies with a few movie successes under her belt already (Miracle in Cell #7, Cyrano Agency).

Park Shin Hye and Kang Ha Neul Considering Rom-com Movie Happy Facebook — 26 Comments

  1. have you watched Misaeng all the cast from that show have risen to fame after that dream because it was filmed in unique way that i can’t describe.. You have Kang Ha neul, Kang Sora and Siwan who did fantastic job in that drama and coming into there next works with huge momentums.

I think Lee Min Ho have successful joined Chungmuro with that gritty and heavy Yo Ha film and rumors has that he outshined Kim rae won himself and thats pretty much the pinnacle of acting.

  2. This is an unexpected pairing if both will confirm and not a bad one. They look good together even in the yogiyo cf that they did.. 🙂

  3. Kang Ha Neul did really good choices in his carreer. He tried a lot of different characters in drama, movie, theatre or musical. I hope for him he will be successfull, he deserves it !

  4. Hahaha again PSH gets paired up with an actor after doing a cf with him, first it was Lee Jong Seok and now Kang Haneul, they did the Yogiyo cf together.

maybe you should wish for a Kim Woobin/Park Shin Hye cf next and then you finally get your wish of them being otp in a project after that, koala unnie 😉 I disliked her so much in Heirs but if the role is not some weeping Candy type she is fine.

    • I agree with … he seems to be non-stop in his projects and with a nice variations of roles in movie, drama and musicals. Does this guy ever sleeps? Oh well, he deserves the projects that he is getting because he is talented.

  5. You expressed my sentiments exactly that it should have been KWB first keeping in mind ‘The Heirs’ . Having said that kang Haneul and Shinhye were great in the pizza ad. Since Happy Facebook is an omnibus movie, that might actually work for them. But, will they be starring in all the short movies or only one of them? They just mention a romantic comedy omnibus movie.

There are too many unanswered questions leaving me a little undecided about how I feel about this project for them. Maybe one of the short movie could be with KWB. Keeping in mind that Shinhye wants to complete her graduation credits soon……..this project could work with her plans if it appeals to her.

    • Although I wish for a drama for Shinhye and KWB and not a short movie ……having waited so long to see them together 🙂 and it seems like more wait. As long as it does not turn like another past wish of seeing Shinhye and LSG together 🙁

    • I’ve been waiting for KWB and PSH to reunite in a drama also but i guess that has to wait. Hopefullly next year after shin hye finishes her studies. I want to see her graduate.

  6. I’m excited for this pairing– I agree that they look great together. Loved PSH in Pinocchio. My soft spot for KHN is extra soft (maybe because he seems so tender-hearted)– I reallyreallyreally want him to be happy.

  7. Do they even have the copyrights to use the name “facebook”? Even the social network movie couldn’t use it and they named the movie..well the social network..

  8. They look so beautiful together.(I love love their yogiyo TV cf) Both are talented and hard-workers and are actually good friends.. So there will be good synergy between them for sure. All that is needed right now is a good script. I heard its a omnibus movie with less screening.

  9. i don’t mind the pairing but i do want my youngsang (KWB and PSH pairing) to happen soon so I can get that feeling out of my system. Darn second-lead syndrome..but honestly, in my opinion, Heirs was painful to watch. If it wasn’t for Young Do and Eun Sang, I think I would’ve gone insane. KWB might as well had been the main lead dude but oh wells. I hope KWB and PSH can meet in a better project in the future.

As for KHN and PSH pairing, as long as the script is great and PSH plays a good female character, I’m all for it. A movie does well by selling tickets and doing well abroad too…therefore it doesn’t matter if the cast is an A-lister…as well as the plot is awesome along with great directing, and a cast that knows how to act…not to mention a good PR team! (I’m still better over how Royal Tailor’s PR team did terrible promoting the film..)

  10. Oh, I like this pairing. They look great together. Even in Heirs and they were not the OTP in that drama, lol. Hope they are cast in this movie.

  11. What’s more exciting is to hear that Choi Ji-Woo and Kim Joo-hyeok may join this production. Now – that’s talent!
