Vic Zhou, Ariel Lin, and Bolin Chen Lead the Star-studded Fashion Parade at the 50th Annual Golden Bell Awards

The prestigious 50th annual Golden Bell Awards just went down this Saturday night in Taipei, and it was definitely one of the years with a plethora of A-list attendees. None more so than two time Golden Bell Best Actress winner Ariel Lin walking the red carpet with one Golden Bell Best Actor winner on each arm, Vic Zhou to her right and Bolin Chen to her left. Obviously the trio was there to promote their upcoming movie Go Lala Go 2, but apparently Zai Zai was also going to present the Best Actor award later, with everyone teasing him about maybe having to hand it to Blue Lan what with their both being back-to-back exes of Barbie Hsu.

I thought everyone looked nice, even if Zai Zai was wearing some weird vest thingie and what appears to be sneakers with a yellow sole and Wilbur Pan‘s pants got shredded by Wolverine before he put it on. Rainie Yang delivered old school glamour, Ruby Lin glowed even if the color of her dress made it look like chain mail, Ariel was perfection, and all the guys wearing classic tuxes just rocked my world from Bolin to Blue to Chris Wu. Notable winners included Ruby’s drama The Way We Were crowned Best Drama, Blue won for Best Actor, Chris was the Best Supporting Actor winner, and Tiffany Hsu finally sheds her Ethan Ruan’s girl/flower vase moniker by winner Best Supporting Actress.

    • Also, would you recommend The Way We Were? I have had ppl recommended it to me and it did win best drama and all. The thing is, I remember checking in on a random ep toward the second half for a bit and didn’t like it. I found it sappy. But I have had ppl told me its relatable. Albeit, I only watched like, 10-20 min. Maybe I checked in at the wrong spot?

  1. That last pic is my fave! So much win in one picture! I love Rainie’s classic dress look, and seeing Ariel, Zai Zai and Bolin walking down the red carpet together is just… ah, my heart. Congrats to all of the winners, too!

  2. I hope Korean actresses look to those dresses and try to wear elegant colourful dresses rather than white and black dresses seriously beautiful and stunning red carpet dresses .

    • HOLD UP ! I just looked back at Tiffany’s first pic, the lighting and everything just highlighted how see through the gown is. Still love the design though.

  3. Mr. Pan’s shredded jeans on red carpet look out of place imho. Especially next to refine and elegant dress of Rainie. Clash of styles.

  4. Blue Lan was perfect in “Apple in Your Eye!” When I saw he won on IG I was ecstatic. I’ve always liked him but to me this was the performance that convinced me he’s truly become an actor. It had a richness and depth I’d never seen before. So well deserved. “The Way They Were” was wonderful as well. I didn’t care for Tiffany in that role but there’s marked improvement in her and the show was a great project to be linked to overall.
And as always seeing “the crew” makes me smile. Loved the Gents uploaded by Chen Bolin. Gotta love him for shamelessly taking every opportunity to share 😉

  5. Ariel Lin has great style tbh- like she used to have the adorable image (still is) but a sexier/mature dress sense now. If only Tang Yan could do the same lol…
Anyway just wondering is it only people who’ve been in Taiwanese dramas that year get to go? I’m pretty sure Ariel and Vic hasn’t so they just went for dressups/promotion for their movie? Cos I swear Wallace never goes and Chen Qian En didn’t go too??

  6. Two words. Ruby Lin! Been watching her since Huan Zhu Ge Ge when I was in primary school and she still looks as ethereally beautiful today, even more refined with age I’d say. WOW

  7. I really love ruby on red carpet. She change 3 dresses at that night and all of her style looks perfect.
Congrat ruby for TWWW won best TV series. She produced it and also acted as leading actress.
