Chinese and Korean Stars Descend on the 2015 Bazaar Star Charity Night in Beijing

There was plenty of glitter across both sides of the strait this past week – Taiwan held its highest television honors with the Golden Bell Awards while the popular Chinese and Korean stars alighted for the Bazaar Star Charity Night in Beijing. I concur with commentators who have noticed that Chinese and Taiwanese actresses tend to be way more fashion conscious and edgy than their Korean counterparts, which mean successes are exquisite and failures are epic. I love that – fashion is expression and it’s not about playing it safe.

Rain attended the event and his look was so hilarious it deserves the post topping pic, who knew a pair of old school sunglasses would make the whole outfit so memorable.  Park Shin Hye was understated lovely in black while Song Seung Heon looked every bit the perfect gentleman in black tie along with his costar and exquisite girlfriend Crystal Liu. Shu Qi donned a new Valentino red muumuu dress while Fan Bing Bing went with an underwhelming Elie Saab. Luhan posed with his upcoming The Lost Tomb movie costar Jing Bo Ran, while the drama leads Li Yi Feng and Yang Yang also walked the red carpet. My favorite look was Tang Yan doing a chic tuxe inspired dress.

Chinese and Korean Stars Descend on the 2015 Bazaar Star Charity Night in Beijing — 26 Comments

  1. Liu Yifei looks as gorgeous as ever <3 Out of the dresses shown here, Angelababy's caught my attention the most, it's like the starry night sky.

  2. Personally I think most of korean celebs (the ladies) always wear gorgeous and not boring outfits unlike korean actresses/ celebs. Song Seung Hun always has the same expression everytime I see him. He’s handsome and all but just like Victoria Beckham who likely has only one expression.

  3. WTF was Rain thinking? He’s still bae obviously, but that costume is for a stage performance, not red carpet. PSH’s dress is very ordinary, but she isn’t so she looks gorgeous. My favourite has to be Angelababy though. Very classy.

  4. I wish shinhye would dress up more… she looks too “basic” for a red-carpet.
Besides I don’t like anyone’s dress in the event either…
I think they have done better before

  5. That’s Tang Yan’s style though- she likes to wear black/white office kind of but with a spin on it. Don’t really like it though… guess that’s her mature ish style rather than cute dress style? FBB looks fat (no offence) in that dress… and omg Deng Chao’s hair….

    • Had an epiphany after YH talked about sponsors- they really remind me of her outfits from Diamond Lover (shivers in dread). Probably some really crappy designer/sponsors then…

  6. Fan Bing Bing what a classy bitch.. She really knows how to dress properly just a classy classy woman.. I even became a bigger fan when she took a classy dig at that chaebol kid..

  7. I like Crystal’s dress, although the photo doesn’t show so much of it. It’s a trendy cut and the print has Asian flavor (ink paint), which is appropriate to the event.

Angela’s dress has lovely silhouette, but ‘starry night’ is a bit christmassy to me.

  8. Is fan bing bing pregnant? Maybe its the dress or just the angle of the picture makes it look like she’s expecting which would’ve been exciting and would be rocking the crews lol

  9. Rain looks like Willy Wonka. Kris Wu looks like a modern day Zorro. Park Shin Hye’s look is boring. Angelababy has an eyecatching print that works well on her. My favorite is Crysta Liu. It’s simple but still beautiful.

  10. I love shu qi and love all of her red carpet gowns, chic, unusual and stylish. Though I love psh very much, she is so boring on red carpet.
I agree Chinese celebs are dressed much better and there is diversity almost like in Hollywood lol
