So Ji Sub and Shin Mina Flirt Up a Sweat in Teasers and Stills for Oh My Venus

I’m not getting a particularly memorable takeaway with any of the teasers and stills for upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Oh My Venus. I’m still happiest with the casting of leads So Ji Sub and Shin Mina along with the drama changed its title from the overly broad and can have way too many connotations depending on usage and tone Oh My God. The first two teasers have played up the flirty sparks between the two leads while sneaking in closing gags about working out, from So Ji Sub’s push ups to Shin Mina’s using her legs to put him in a head lock. I know this is a rom-com but other than knowing that he’s a chaebol gym trainer and she’s a lawyer who wants to lose weight, nothing else is conveyed yet to further flesh out this drama world. At least the drama appears quite active with the weight loss theme, and hopefully the drama will spend the most time on developing the two leads in entertaining interactions rather than the drama focusing on the plotting of unlikable second leads or antagonists.

  1. Or they could actually develop second leads and give them a life instead of only being dependant on the main leads, because sometimes the second leads are far more interesting than the mains. Case in point: The heirs.

    • Shin Min Ah only had chemistry with Lee Seung Gi. She is so closed off when her co-star is older than her. Pity, cuz I really like her.

      • Might explain why she is dating a younger man. Ha! (Kim Woo Bin) Although, I thought she had good chemistry with Lee Jun Ki too. Maybe she only has good chemistry if she is a supernatural being!

  2. Chemistry or not chemistry it will be wise to wait for the drama and see. many dramas teasers promised great chemistry and in the end it was dissapointing..and there were others that looked bad but the execution was far better..

\I feel like koala talks about birth of a beauty lol. 80% of the drama was plotting of the second leads (and ironically jung kyeo woon was one of them). hope in his new role he won’t be the evil guy 2.0.

    • Exactly what i thought too. Especially that last one with the scale. Looked like they were trying to sell the weights or something.
I will try to check it out since i like both of them.

  3. In retrospect, who would ever think a story about ghosts, would be a classic! Comedies, are not suppose to be totally realistic, otherwise, they would be dramas! Hollywood has never put out a comedy that has ever been realistic to life! Mostly a comedy of errors! I am thinking this wI’ll be extremely enjoyable!
