Gong Yoo and Gong Hyo Jin Pair Up for CF Campaign Ten Years After Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy

This a reunion over a decade in the making and will certain bring a smile to the faces for fans of either star, or folks who simply appreciate very beautiful people paired together. Gong Yoo and Gong Hyo Jin are back together again a decade after they did teacher-student romance in K-drama Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy, a casting feat of unbelievable hilarity when older Gong Yoo was cast as a high school student with younger Gong Hyo Jin playing his adult teacher. Now they are way age appropriate in a CF campaign for online site SSM, dressed rather old-fashioned but suitable for their wide range of styles. Love them both to pieces, and wish for the right vehicle to come along, whether drama or movie, that could find a reason to couple them up again for something longer than a CF stint.

  1. My #1 lady GHJ looks fabulous in all the pics. Hope to see her new projects again, not OTP with newbies but with A-list veteran actors such as Jang Hyuk.

    • “Thank You” with Jang Hyuk and Gong Hyo Jin was so good! Not a rom-com at all, but their chemistry was amazing. I would love to see them do another drama together. And her with Gong Yoo again…really just any drama with Gong Hyo Jin and I’m there!

    • Yes, exactly “Thank You” prompted me to be interested in seeing JH and GHJ collab again. That drama has amazing cast from the small child to the OTP to the grandpa. I love that drama so much and consider one of the memorable K drama classic that no other newer dramas are on par with. I salute to these veteran K actors/actresses and miss their solid performance very much.

  2. It doesn’t matter how she’s dressed, she always exudes brainy confidence that distinguishes her uniquely from other actresses.

  3. I know I’m knit picking a bit but the fourth pick down (the one with gong yoo’s back)…they need to edit out the red tape mark on the floor. other than that, beautiful people wonderful actors. I wish to see more of them. 🙂

  4. @Kauaitone That was definitely an BTS shot so I think it should ok 😉

And goodness, it has been ten years! I love these two together though, whether in real or reel life but it’s been a long time sonce I’ve seen either. GHJ might be the one to pull GY back into dramas so perhaps hope isn’t lost… However, with this campaign maybe someone with think about throwing this a movie project? I’m not hard to please, AT ALL!

  5. Please can we have another drama with this two as leads!!! PLEASE DRAMA GOD!!!! I want to see Gong Yoo in my screen weekly it has been so long. He was the led in the first drama I ever watched the-one-that-must-not-be-named, although the drama wasn’t great his character was what made me watch this show weekly and have massive in between withdrawal syndrome.

  6. this is before the Goblin right? I think she (GHJ) is not the perfect partner for GY…I prefer KGE..they both same charming, cute and smart actor and actress
