Yoon Si Yoon Completes Military Service and Discharged From the Marines

Welcome back cutie pie! This will be a short post in words because there is only so much that needs to be said about Yoon Si Yoon honorably completing his mandatory two years of military service in South Korea. He served in the marines which is the hardest toughest unit of the military, and in doing so finished his service in about 21 months, just like actor sunbaes before him such as Hyun Bin who also served in the rough and tumble marines. Yoon Si Yoon enlisted secretly, putting into action what so many stars claim to want to do which is to serve the nation without fanfare. I must say that he did surprise me in picking the marines because I wouldn’t have pegged him for that full scale army experience since he has always exemplified the flower boy image as an young actor. Goes to show that image is not always real life, and I’m so thrilled to see him get the heartfelt send off by his unit as well as a warm welcome back from his fans who braved the cold to greet his discharge.

Wow this definitely makes him rise a bit more in my eyes..To choose the toughest branch must have meant he gave his hundred percent in this service too like in his carrier.

  3. I love him! Brought tears to my eyes too to see him saying goodbye to his fellow marines. Can’t wait to see him back in a good project!

  4. He may be a cutie pie, but he’s also just about the sexiest kisser in all of Dramaland! And has a super sexy voice too! I love that dichotomy.

  5. I love his voice too!

I was touched by his tears when he was saying bye to his fellow Marines. He seem so sincerely and down to earth.

Come back to dramaland soon YSY! I hope he can do a drama with similar character to Kim Tak-gu!

  6. Cant wait to see him in his next K drama, please please pick a good one! One of the few young actors who can really act his socks off…his performances always touch an emotional chord with me unlike some popular idol actors who can’t act for nuts…

    • Oh my gosh, how’d you get your avatar to match your name so well? I don’t think Koala even has the option to upload an avatar! That’s awesome!
