Entertainer Makes it Hip to be Square in Official Drama Posters

There’s a wonderfully comforting vibe about Entertainer and it’s not something easily explainable. I just get the feels with the teasers and stills, and now the official drama posters seal the deal. Love, love, love the slightly retro colors and a square sentiment around it. Ji Sung looks so earnest as the fallen music man trying to reclaim his industry success with an unknown new band led by high school outcast Kang Min Hyuk. At least we know the onscreen music playing will be legit.

Hyeri looks like she walked out of Answer Me 1988 but not in a bad way since she was quite decent in there, I just don’t know if she will showcase improvement or continue to deliver the same. Perpetual second female lead Chae Jung Ahn proves since Prime Minister and I that she’s awesome when her character doesn’t suck and here I hope she gets her own strong story line, and in fact I hope all the leads have interesting stories to share rather than falling into the trap of romantic conundrums. The drama premieres this Wednesday taking over for the recently finished Please Come Back Ahjusshi.

      • Yeah, they’re playing some “wind instrument.” If it’s supposed to be a trumpet, that’s not how you actually hold a trumpet, but their hands could be a trumpet-like thing.

  1. Interesting…but more than likely a good one- I’ve never seen a bad drama where jisung is involved. Something to look forward to— can’t wait…!

  2. @ockoala I adore the throwback posters. Its gonna be a great ride with Ji Sung Ssi at the helm. Nice bromance, a bit of love pentagon, whole lotsa heart and music to seal the deal! ????

  3. The preview for ep.1 already has the starting of the Hyeri/Ji sung love line. Pretty interesting it’s going that quickly though seems like she’ll be the one with the crush.

  4. I really like the posters! Visually interesting and not just the same old same old posters, but not overly weird either. That being said, whenever I see Ji Sung and Chae Jung Ahn together I still can’t help but ship them instead of him and Hyeri.

  5. Yay! Just read of a Park Shin Hye cameo in this show! She sent a coffee truck for support of the crew specifically the writer, director, her girlfriend ChaeJA and CNBlue kid KMH.

  6. She came with the coffee truck and was asked to film her part right there and then, how cool is that , she is just too sweet and very loyal to her friends ?

  7. I wish Hyeri and Minhyuk were the couple and Ji Sung is with Chae Jung Ahn, they looked better paired this way… sadly it won’t be. Still looking forward to Ji Sung in this drama, I loved him in KMHM.
I think its fun that his rival drama stars Hwang Jun Eum and Ryu Jun Yeol [their ex-drama partners], so I will check to see which of the dramas will manage to grab me more.
