With so many talented up-and-coming Korean child actresses all growing up beautifully, they continue to have the best role model to look towards in both acting accolades and personal accomplishments. Moon Geun Young wrapped mystery thriller K-drama The Village (Achiara’s Secret) a few months ago and in her typical way went back to quiet living outside the limelight. She recently emerged to share pictures and a meaningful takeaway from a recent humanitarian volunteer trip to Africa.

She’s well known in the entertainment industry for being a regular charitable participant from often donating to various causes to doing volunteer work, so this overseas mission does’t come as a surprise to her fans. I’m just happy to see such a talented actress living a full and purpose-driven life in both professional and personal aspects. Check out more cute pics below along with Moon Geun Young’s heartfelt entreaty for people to get more involved.

Moon Geun Young’s post after her trip:

I’m back in one piece from my travels. When faced with such an innocent gaze and a pure soul, I became ashamed of the way I’ve lived so far. My heart ached knowing that nothing I can do will help these people. I plan to search for ways to improve their lives. That they’ll become healthier. Even the smallest of interest from you can be a big help to them. Please help protect the bright smiles of these kids. I ask that you take even the tiniest interest.
