Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng Bring Their It Started with a Kiss Chemistry and Cuteness to C-variety Show

A walk down is always welcome when it comes to my favorite dramas, those that linger forever like a soft imprint on the narrative soul. The stories that resonated seem a bit timeless even as the people playing the characters move on. One of Taiwan’s most popular and beloved dramas is indisputably It Started with a Kiss, the adaptation of Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss and elevating the niche story to greater consciousness and a wider audience.

Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng‘s OTP of Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu remain the gold standard IMO for the two iconic characters of Kotoko and Naoki, so seeing them reunited this summer for the C-variety show Extraordinary Partner has been nothing short of wanting to squee and awww the entire time watching it. The two were sent to Great Britain for their challenge and ISWAK fans were treated to an unscripted moment with Ariel was so nervous for Joe that she blurted out “Zhi Shu!” when calling for him. Oh my heart, go bask in the feels now.
