Yoo In Na Offered Second Female Lead Role in Goblin Starring Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook

Korean drama screenwriter Kim Eun Sook is going back to a familiar face to round out the leads of her upcoming tvN drama fantasy Goblin, after selecting talented and new collaboration partners for the first three casting choices. Yoo In Na has been offered the second female lead role opposite Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, and Lee Dong Wook. Her role is as a female con artists using her feminine wiles who gets her life turned upside down after meeting Lee Dong Wook’s grim reaper. Looks like Kim Eun Sook is sticking with her formula of two separate love lines, which I love since the more the merrier and creates two options for audiences to pick which coupling floats their boat more. I also approve of Yoo In Na joining the cast, she’s warm and sassy in the right roles and her last foray with Kim Eun Sook in Secret Garden was a huge career boost for her.

Goblin is slated to start filming soon for a December premiere on tvN’s Fri-Sat time slot following The K2 with Ji Chang Wook, Yoona, and Song Yoon Ah.

  1. I hope she’ll have a seperate loveline with Lee Dong Wook.

Going by the words, looks like both the female leads are “second” leads while the two men are the main leads.

  2. I can never understand the appeal of Kim Eun Sook’s writing (Apologized that my opinion bending on the minority side). Her only dramas that I could get thru to watch till the end were Lovers in Paris and City Hall. I find that her writings are too full of alpha male characters and somewhat very cheesy. I couldn’t even get passed one episode with Secret Garden and DotS. Somehow, she is arguably the most successful screenwriter in SK now and any actors who want a career boost, would better get a hand of the script and get casted in her drama cause any of her penned-drama is basically a sure rating hit.
