Whatever screenwriter Kim Eun Sook has in store for her first cable network drama in tvN‘s Goblin (The Lonely Shining Goblin), I’m fully onboard with the dreamy melancholy vibe. It feels otherworldly which is exactly the mood to go for, and the four newly released character teaser videos don’t tell much in terms of narrative but sell tons of atmospherics. Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook are both projecting the immortal angst, the former the Goblin and the latter a Grim Reaper. The ladies Kim Go Eun and Yoo In Na are given super girly purple pink hued romantic promos, hinting at their love lines to come. Everyone looks so pretty, at least the production is armed to the hilt with the best lens filters and isn’t afraid to use it.

I think releasing character teaser is the current trend. After Moon Lovers, it was K2, and then now, Goblin. But it does have that melancholy feel and I like Lee Dong Wook’s teaser the most.
I like the two male leads’ teasers. The sound of the wind in GY and the sadness in LLDW. Plus, their voices are just deep and hot lol
I like Lee Dong Wook’s teaser the most too. He expressed the pain of his character’s “punishment” so well. The other teasers were well done too. Can’t wait for December!

I love the teasers. I think it will be a great fantasy drama. It definitely seems promising.
