Edgy Visuals Interplay for Stage Adaptation of Romeo and Juliet with Moon Geun Young and Park Jung Min

Iā€™m loving the costume and character design visuals for the upcoming Korean stage production of Romeo and Juliet. The play initially got my interest because of news that Moon Geun Young was tapped to play Juliet, with Park Jung Min as her lovelorn Romeo. The two are an interesting pairing for sure but from the posters and teaser preview definitely evidence plenty of chemistry. Romeo and Juliet is classic but the narrative moves at the speed of light from first meeting to sleeping together to consecutive death for love. It takes chemistry and great production pacing to make it come alive and this one is starting off with fantastic tattooed up the wazoo cast stylings. I don’t know why the youngsters and the elders are all sporting tats but it works for me, there’s so much lyricism in the written word splayed over the human body for such a effusive on young love work.
