I can’t wait to check out intense new Mon-Tues drama Whisper, taking over in the time slot from highly rated predecessor Defendant. The first episode garnered 13.9% ratings, 0.6% less than Defendant premiering at 14.5%. The competition used this new arrival to reset with Rebel: The Thief Who Stole the People close behind at 13.8% ratings and Ms. Perfect increasing 2% to bring in 6%. Defendant may have gotten high domestic ratings and also a solid viewership from international fans but the Mon-Tues time slot really hasn’t created anything super buzzy in a long time. If folks have checked out Whisper already, share initial impressions as this drama has returning from maternity leave Lee Bo Young, reuniting with former costar Lee Sang Yoon, and from the screenwriter of The Chaser, Punch, and Empire of Gold.
We surely gonna watch this after DEFENDANT, aside from the two major actor LEE BO YOUNG & LEE SANG YOON (noted for a good and valuable actors), the Screenwriter is famous for being a very versatile writer, with a very good storyline. Watching from the first episode, you barely can’t stop thinking what comes next. Recommended to watch!

I watch Punch from the same writer and it was soooo good! But what i love the most is duet kim rae won and jo jae hyun there. They’re so awesome together!!
I don’t know why but when it comes to heavy theme drama like this i prefer male-male duet as the lead because i don’t really like any romance on it. So, i need to wait and see how whisper viewer’s reaction first before jump into it.
They can always have male-female duo without inserting romantic element to it. It depends on whether they want to do it or not. In this case the synopsis promises some romance, but there’s also possibility it’s going to be turn out like Empire of Gold; no romance between the leads contrary to early synopsis.
I’m still upset that Kim Rae-won was SOOOO good in this role and barely got any recognition at all!
I’ll check it out eventually. Though it is not high rated, Perfect Wife is actually really good. Probably Sung Joon’s best drama since I Love Romance III.
