Seven Days Queen Premieres This Week with Park Min Young, Yeon Woo Jin, and Lee Dong Gun

It’s going to be a sageuk showdown on Wed-Thurs as new arrival Seven Days Queen (Queen for Seven Days) takes over the KBS time slot from recently concluded Queen of Mystery. Current time slot leading drama is the MBC sageuk Ruler: Master of the Mask while SBS is coming in third with quirky Suspicious Partner. Ruler has a three week head start on Seven Days Queen and viewers may only have room for one melodramatic period drama, and Seven Days Queen looks insanely melodramatic and intense judging from the long 6-minute preview. The posters are undeniably gorgeous, beautiful background colors and framing the leads Park Min Young, Yeon Woo Jin, and Lee Dong Gun in the emotional aura of emotional conflict to come. The drama premieres tomorrow so check it out if you’re in the mood for a heaping plate of gorgeous people suffering as decried by fate.

Seven Days Queen Premieres This Week with Park Min Young, Yeon Woo Jin, and Lee Dong Gun — 10 Comments

  1. I will have to pass on this one. I rarely watch sageuks and this looks to melodramatic for me. I am not a fan of dramas, were they are doomed from the beginning.

  2. This reminds me of love in the moonlight. Romantic saeguks are more of my thing compared to political saeguks.

  3. I like the idea of Park Min Young in a sageuk but trailer has dwindled my interest. PMY basically appeared to be in tears all the way through this trailer. And I can’t stand too much childhood portion in a drama.

    • Park Min Young haven’t filmed that many scenes. Most likely they filmed the crying scenes to release the teasers. She stated that the beginning of the drama should be funny and light-hearted.

  4. Ruler turned out more boring than I expected so I hope at least this is good. Park Min Young is actually good at sageuks.

    • I agree I really like the leads in ruler but I couldn’t continue watching it it’s
So sad since I really wanted to like the drama but I’m currently watching tunnel.. one of the few dramas that I have watched without fast forwarding … such a treat ..

    • I start The Ruler and I found it very typical. Yoo Seung Ho is great but I don’t know if I will keep on…
