First Teaser Preview and Poster for Code Blue 3 with Yamashita Tomohisa, Aragaki Yui, and Toda Erika

Promos are beginning in earnest for the new season of the medical J-dorama Code Blue 3, starring the exact same cast as the first season Code Blue in 2008 and the followup Code Blue 2 in 2010. And everyone looks exactly the same, just more modern in their styling now. I hope everyone’s characters has similarly matured and we get less emo and even less screw ups, though it’s those elements that create the narrative grist and problems our intrepid doctors on heli will need to solve. This will likely be the final go-around for this cast though I can see the franchise continuing with new doctors which is why I’m going to savor this even more. Seeing Yamashita Tomohisa, Aragaki Yui, and Toda Erika back in their heli and doctor outfits brings back so many fond memories, CB may not be a great dorama but it sure as heck was fun to watch. I hope this latest season continues the satisfaction.

  1. So excited for this! It looks like only Yui got retained in Doctor Heli while the rest are in different departments, which makes this season different from the rest.

  2. I love code blue 1 and 2 (and of course Yui Aragaki), but I am not putting high expectations on this since the script writer has changed and they have added a few new actors/actresses. Hope the story this time would still focus on the 5 main leads.

  3. I’m looking forward to Code Blue 3. It is amazing how they could get the whole cast coming back for this. I have heard too that the scriptwriter isn’t the same as the previous two. This “new” scriptwriter though wrote Rich Man Poor Woman and Chocolatier. , both starring Ishihara Satomi. So it would be a nice surprise if they get her to guest-star. However, yhe chance is slim considering her and Yamapi’s real-life relationship.

  4. Thank you for the preview! I’m so excited, it’s great to see our heli doctors in action again. You are right the Code Blues were not groundbreaking dramas but there is something about them and the cast that I love.
