Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ok Bin Go From High Fashion in Vogue Korea to Solving Crime in New OCN Thriller Drama

I’m so so pleased with cable network OCN‘s casting of Children of a Lesser God, doing the police procedural thriller justice with two fantabulous leads. The leads Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ok Bin aren’t just great actors they are also top eye candy of the unique and quirky variety. I also love their age-appropriate casting lest I need to believe a baby-faced young adult is suddenly a case savvy detective. Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ok Bin get to preview their chemistry in the pages of the February edition of Vogue Korea, also showcasing their modeling skills which are not too shabby at all. I know OCN has been on a roll with the darker thriller dramas, I’ve heard great things about Voice and Tunnel but it wasn’t until Black that I got sucked into the morass. I can’t wait to get all down and dirty with the crime solving duo in Children next month.

  1. Kang ji hwan is a bad actor i tried to watch a drama that he acted in with yoon eun hye he was very bad with an emotionless face since than i stayed away from any work that he participated in

    • Lie To Me is a bad drama as a whole. It’s not really the actors’ faults. As bad as LTM was, I enjoyed it a lot for the great chemistry between KJH and YEH. KJH is not the famous Hallyu oppa but he had shown great acting in most of his projects.

    • agree with @rhienz. KJH is good in Hong Gil Dong which I quite enjoy watching… Can’t really judge an actor by one drama, especially for such an experienced actor like KJH.

  2. OCN is one of the most reliable station these days. They have been pretty consistent in churning quality dramas, at least on thriller genre since they did badly for romance theme dramas. I have a good feeling about Children of The Lesser God esp with a strong casts like Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ok Bin. So long they did not go the route of Criminal Minds where they wasted great actors.
