Jung So Min and Seo In Guk Confirmed for K-drama Remake of A Million Stars Falling From the Sky

The K-drama gods are readying to remake one of the classic J-doramas that cemented Kimutaku as not just a pretty face but can also act his pants off. And now the production has assured itself that acting from the Korean counterparts won’t be a problem as the leads are confirmed to be Seo In Guk and Jung So Min. Please say a little prayer of thanks. Both leads are well equipped with a proven track record of tackling darker fare, with Jung So Min debuting with Bad Guy and Seo In Guk with his memorable performance in I Remember You. A Million Stars is about the complicated interconnected fates of two orphans, and the K-version will be directed by the PD of Oh My Ghost and Tomorrow With You

  1. the J-drama was very dark and depressing… tragic is the best word to describe it. Not sure if the Koreans will change it into a different tone… don’t feel like watching this disturbing story again despite the two awesome leads 🙁

  2. I haven’t seen the original, but that is some awesome casting. Love Seo In Guk who has never disappointed me as an actor or with his projects, and she is also great. I am looking forward to this.

@Koala: Looks like you have seen I remember you. What did you think?

    • lol ikr? It feels like there are so many hyped castings with large age gaps, that seeing a couple casting with such a small gap is rare even if that’s not actually true.

I just hope Seo In Gook’s military discharge scandal doesn’t spoil things.

  3. I approve of this, they’re both good actors and she really charmed me in BTLIOF and Father Is Strange. Hopefully the drama turns out well!

  4. I am very very happy that Jung So Min was cast. I trust she’ll do a terrific job.

But Seo In Guk seems so young for the role. It doesn’t help that he has a baby face.

    • Don’t let that baby face fool you because when this man is in action, he will bring the best of the best to his character that would just blown you away.SIG never disappoint…never. His acting is superior.

  6. Some of jyanis really more suitable as an actor than idol (kimutaku, matsujun etc) 🙂
anyway glad this pairing take this roles. both can act. Just hope the writer do justice to original story. I’m not even complaint if they take lighter mood .. some jdrama can really dark and depressing.

  7. Will be watching but actually hoping they’ll change the plot twist at the end. Was too disturbing in the original.
