Kang Ji Hwan, Baek Jin Hee, and Gong Myung in Talks for Office K-drama Happy to Die

KBS had one of the better received in ratings and audience feedback office type dramas in recent years with Chief Kim so it’s possible this upcoming office drama from the network may also resonate with the viewers. KBS is casting for the fall 2018 drama Happy to Die adapted from a popular webtoon centered around an exacting and arrogant company chief and the coworker female lead who causes him to change his personality. Kang Ji Hwan is trading his last drama cop role for that of a rude perfectionist company manager, with Baek Jin Hee in talks for the female lead and Gong Myung up for the second male lead role. I love Kang Ji Hwan but find Baek Jin Hee starting to tire as she works nonstop from drama to drama and seems to be in everything with nothing yet that she’s starred in which connected with me. The drama is from the PD of Trot Lovers and Cheer Up! with a new screenwriter adapting the screenplay from the webtoon and scheduled to air in the Wed-Thurs time slot in October after The Ghost Detective with Daniel Choi and Park Eun Bin which premieres this week.

  1. It is not her fault to work from drama to drama. This is only an evidence that she is still in high demand.

Neither is her obligation to make you connected with her through her dramas. While you may not feel so, doesn’t mean others feel the same way.

I only watched her drama once (the one with Daniel Choi) and I think she is ok.
