First Look at Sooyoung and Choi Tae Joon in K-drama Version of So I Married an Anti-fan

This K-drama adaptation of manhwa So I Married an Anti-fan already looks way better than that oddball Chinese-Korean jointly produced movie version. Starring Sooyoung and Choi Tae Joon, both have the looks and actual acting ability to make what looks like fluffy rom-com cuteness into something hopefully a bit more meaningful. The drama hasn’t been picked up yet by a network but is already filming along, with the first stills of both leads released this week and looking really promising. Choi Tae Joon swaps out the antagonist baddie vibe he’s been giving off since Missing 9 and believably turns into a swaggering top star while Sooyoung parks her idol vibe to transform into an ordinary magazine writer turned anti-fan. Both are much better than I expected in character, nice!

First Look at Sooyoung and Choi Tae Joon in K-drama Version of So I Married an Anti-fan — 11 Comments

  1. I was happy that Choi Tae Joon has a first lead role but I really don’t like Sooyoung as an actress. So I think I will pass this one.

  2. This is probably the 5th drama which is airing or in production stage where a top star meets an ordinary girl (or a man in the drama with Yoon Eun-hye). Aside of the obvious trend, is it an attempt to show the k-stars can actually date ? 🙂

  3. Cringe acting is already shining through these stills. Visually un-matching too, he looks too immature looking to Sooyoung if we compare just visuals. If Sooyoung and Park Shin Hye (who are friends if I remember correctly) are into swinging, PSH could act with Sooyoung’s bf Jung Kyung Ho next. She acted with Kang Sora’s ex and Nana could act with Kang Sora’s current bf for a full closure.

  4. Yayy Sooyoung once again! Kinda hoped that her and Seo Kang Joon were going to take that drama can’t recall the name – maybe it was The Third Charm? However this one looks interesting with Choi Taejon. They look cute together so Im hoping that they shine!

  5. Warner Bros apparently took part ib the production so it will be shown in 160 countries simultaneously. Fingers crossed that this is a good one!
