SBS Releases New Year Present of Minute Long Thrilling Teaser for Vagabond with Lee Seung Gi and Suzy

Currently I’m two-for-two in terms of highly anticipated dramas panning out in terms of quality and interest, with both Encounter (Boyfriend) and Memories of Alhambra floating my boat majorly. With these just released 1-minute long teaser for mid-2019 K-drama Vagabond with Lee Seung Gi and Suzy, I’m raised my hopes that it will be a three-for-three soon because this looks soooooo good. The drama is going to be very action heavy based on the teaser and Lee Seung Gi is in fine form, playing a stunt actor turned vigilante as he personally embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind a plane explosion that took the life of his little nephew. Along the way he partners up with NIS agent Suzy who is still a tad fresh-faced and not that believable as a government agent. But with a strong story and if she delivers as she did in the first half of While You Were Sleeping then she’ll be fine and I can sit back to enjoy the chases, explosions, and topless Seung Gi.

  1. the trailer looks promising. i think lsg will kill his part. you can see the budget was put it right place hope suzy wont ruin it tho.

  2. That IRIS 1 feels though. This looks like Lee ByungHun and Kim Tae Hee’s Iris but more improved and modernized plot or something. Bot a big fan of Suzy but will surely check when it airs.

  3. I’ve opted out and will not watch Vagabond however I will read the commentary here regarding it so that I don’t miss out on all the fun. MOA is my fill of quota for action packed thrills and that will suffice well on through to 2019. I lack patience and am not in the mood to see Suzy get wasted and as Koala aptly put it ‘is not believable’ as a government agent. Before you all jump up and down and say I should watch the drama first before passing judgement ahh no I’m making a decision now not to torment myself as I have happy memories of her from UF; A sound of a flower and Architecture 101 and I intend to keep it that way.

  4. I miss Kim So Yeon in Iris. She was so convincing in North Korean spy. When in the real life she’s not the sportive type.
LSG looks good in the teaser but Suzy looks so young, she doesn’t look like a serious spy…

    • I second that. The way they talk really do sound cringy…..especially Suzy. They look so young…should’ve gone with older actors for the roles. Suzy doesnt look like a secret agent at all. Where’s kim so yeon when u need her.

    • Did you see exo-l support DO kyung-soo to buy tickets in theater?? Lols! Even they attacks song Kang ho son didn’t help his movie to get box office. Exo-l can’t boikot song kang ho movie lols.

      • Why would exol boycott skh movie though, its already clear that movie critics were the one who put nega reviews for drugking, not exol, u are always everywhre im sure u know there are already articles predicting both drug king and swing kids cant breakeven at dis rate.and are u naive u know most of exol are ifans

      • Lol u know it will not affect the result regardless, movies have different audience, the movie have bad reviews, exol have nothing to do with it not meeting the breakeven point. It just skh’s son blaming exol,

      • And u shld have response to the original comment that ig followers dont equal drama having high ratings instead u dropping names not related to the article,i hope u stay with the topic, have a nice 2019,

    • I don’t see any correlation between IG followers and acting talent or drama ratings. She still cannot act ? and the drama rating will suffer.

    • million of followers doesnt mean they are all her fans, some were just curious , some of my friends follow celebs even though they’re not they’re idols, they just want to follow them just to be updated.

  5. Morroco OMG I love this country ; my wishes for team behind this project to succeed I just hope that this drama doesn’t show Arab in bad way especially Moroccan people they are good and generous.??

  6. That so-called action pack but all you see are either just the faces, the floor, or a long range full shot or the back of the actor.

  7. Lol. If gun shootings, explosions, and jumping off buildings isn’t action-packed then I don’t know what is. On another note, there are many people who doubt Suzy’s acting skills and think she’s too young or fragile to be playing this role, but she’s actually pretty tough and strong, being a second degree black belt with a national taekwondo coach as her father. You can see a clip of her breaking some boards with her fist on a variety show. Lee Seung Gi also trained in special forces while he was in the military. Knowing this about them, I find it pretty convincing that these two are playing a special agent and stuntman. They’ve also been training together extensively for months. Hoping the best for Vagabond.

    • Geez I didn’t know that she’s gotta black belt in Taekwondo! That’s really impressive but I think the majority of us are apprehensive of her delivery in the acting department then her martial arts skills.

      • It’s always been a known fact that most here don’t think she can act. My comment was directed towards those saying she “looks” too young or weak to play a secret agent. I was refuting those points by acknowledging her background and physical capabilities to ones still doubting her strength. She’s not as feminine as she looks.

      • You’re right but strength and martial arts doesn’t equate to good acting and even though the majority of us believe she needs an overhaul in improving her skills I guess Vagabond may just be the platform to prove otherwise. That said her look is young and lacks credibility as a Government agent and that is only because her acting is being called out which exasperates this further.

      • I can’t reply to your comment below so I’ll reply to this one. Again, I’m not arguing about her acting talent. It’s never been a secret that many here think she’s a bad actress. But her acting skills and physical capability are two different things that are being questioned here. For the latter, I simply provided evidence that she HAS the necessary athletic background to deliver the role convincingly–in that aspect. My point was that she’s not as weak or fragile as she looks.

      • Well yes she has the athletic prowess to prove her worth I just hope she can match this with her character delivery as this will be her weakness and undoing if she can’t. I dont doubt her strength or capability in martial arts at all but right now going by the posts here she has a lot of doubters and will need to be really convincing.

    • Vagabond is due out in April/May 2019 and it’s a bit premature to say it’s successful. Ambitious and expensive to make Yes by all means.

    • I think @Black meant sarcasm. None of her recent projects are really considered successful, her movie sucked, her drama ratings declining. Another “successful” means another flop ?
