Second Leads Play Tackle Thwarting Blossoming Romance Between Leads in Her Private Life Episode 8

tvN Wed-Thurs drama Her Private Life is like a meal that we’ve all eaten before but done exquisitely right. There are misunderstandings and hidden secrets, pretend kisses and imagery kisses, and now plotting second leads giving out false information to dissuade the leads from consummating their love. Here the leads Park Min Young and Kim Jae Wook are hitting every beat in every interaction to beautiful nuance, I cannot look away from the way he looks at her and the way she thinks about him. When she’s taking pictures of him and then editing it before she gets to her beloved idol boy Shi An, it’s clear Deok Mi has fallen for Ryan and she quickly accepts and relishes it. Same with Ryan, he’s basically A++ boyfriend material already with how he takes care of her directly and secretly and OMG he’s lighting panties on fire everywhere with the way he smiles at Deok Mi. I may want to fillet the second leads at the end of episode 8 but if the delay is to make the OTP even more in love with each other before they confess and then make out passionately then I’m good with that.

  1. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched a drama with such a manipulative second female lead. I hate pointless misunderstandings so I’ll probably be skipping the next episode.

  2. His eyes told us how deep his love is. I like seeing him staring at her. But… The overall story was just boring. I skipped many scenes. Except for fangirling thing, her character was almost the same as her secretary kim.

I couldn’t relate to her fangirling thing, since the last time i was so into kpop was for bigbang’s comeback.

Not to mention one’s stiff acting.

Kim jaewook better takes antagonist role. It suits him better. But saeguk will do.

  3. Sindy is an annoying character. And the actress don’t fit the role at all, she cannot emulate and more like a stalker. Wish they got a girl idol to do the role coz it’ll be a ride to be in the shoes of a fangirl for a change.

  4. Koala need to make a banner of KJW glare after he took down the blind. That was one intense stare 😀
I dropped secretary Kim after 1st episode so yea.. I don’t know what her character is in that drama.
Whatever. This drama is Gold (pun intended)

    • why is rating of this drama so much lower than WSK? Seems like a lot of praises here of this drama…. just curious

      • I read elsewhere that this drama went up against Doctor Prisoner when DP had already established a double-digit head start. That and PSJ might have more of a fan base than KJW and people just saw PMY in a rom/com might explain it. Maybe.

  5. Count me in as one of those who really enjoy this drama. PMY and KJW just have that impeccable chemistry that I can’t look away whenever they’re together. Ep 8 may have ended on a sad note but I’m good with it because everything will now be based on real feelings going forward.

And KJW just gain a new fan. He’s so versatile and hot! I don’t know how PMY can handle his stare. I’ll probably may need to blindfold him too before I can kiss him…lol

  6. Yeah, not happy with the direction it took in episode 8. Would have preferred a less lazy route to them dating for real. I hope it gets figured out by next week.

KJW I thought was a little unsure in his acting in the first two episodes, but he seems really comfortable in the part now, and the two of them do sizzle.
