Lee Min Ho Takes Trip After Military Discharge and Posts Pic Titled “The King” After Kim Eun Sook Drama Confirmation

The Heir is becoming The King as Lee Min Ho followed up his military discharge with a blockbuster drama confirmation, reuniting with hitmaker Kim Eun Sook for her next drama The King: Eternal Sovereign. This was clearly in the works long before his discharge two weeks ago, and it was cheeky was him to post an SNS update picture of himself standing arms wide in a country road with the title “The King” after news broke of his confirmation for the drama. He is definitely the King after remaining this high profile even with two years away doing his civic duty, and it’s fitting that he’s returning with a bang as Kim Eun Sook has followed up after doing Heirs with Lee Min Ho with even more successful dramas Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, and Mr. Sunshine. It’s time for both to keep upping their game, but until then let Lee Min Ho enjoy his current European vacation as the boy is traveling overseas and documenting his journey for fans.

  1. Ok I’ve never watched a drama of his so what is the attraction apart from being a pretty boy. As a non fan what could I expect from LMH as an actor? I’m not interested in his new drama but would be if I knew who the leading lady and supporting cast were. That would be a draw card however again what is the fascination with him?

    • For me, i think he usually express his emotion through his eyes and can be stiff or awkward sometimes in heavy emotional scene. But he has definitely improved a lot in LOTBS. He was very good in portraying two characters which seemed very different from each other. but that’s my opinion. I love him so m gonna watch the drama anyway. lol

    • Pretty boy itself is only attraction for his fans. You must know why Faith is so underrated, its because he’s throwing his pretty boy’s image, his expensive car, rich family, without all of thats he end up didnt have any charm.

      • Faith is one of my all time favourite dramas and one I have watched again and again. I personally think he was great in it. He may not be the best actor around but I generally like his drama choices, and enjoy his performances. Reliable. He comes across as likeable and not all actors do, talented or not.

      • FAITH is also one of my favorites. (and I am not exactly any LMH fan)

    • If you aren’t interested in him then why do you keep commenting in his articles? It doesn’t matter who his leading lady is because he will be the star of the show. People don’t watch a LMH drama for the leading lady but for only for him because is a superstar. There is no rule you need to be a great actor to be a superstar or be appealing. His appeal is that he is LMH and his smile is enough for people to watch his dramas. 10 years since BOF but people still swoon over his role GJP and even KT has a crazy fan following. Poeple can try and pull him down as much as they try but as far as Hallyu is concerned LMH is THE STAR. If he didn’t already dominate endorsements throughout Asia despite being on hiatus by the time his new drama ends his is the only face you will see on billboards all over Asia. His power can’t be matched by any ‘talented’ actor ever.

      • Yawn yawn yawn @Peny can you not read I asked for feedback and I received it in good stead and will go check out Faith and LOTBS as a result. And you are who again? I’m so sick to death of these so called fans saying to me outright don’t comment if you’re not gloating over their idol. Ahhh yeah keep hollering your praise because it’s falling on deaf ears. Hallyu what? That’s so yesterday.

  2. Good to see him enjoying before he drowns in loads of work, and can’t wait for his drama. But is the drama gonna be fully produced or live shooting?

  3. Faith is one of my all time favourite dramas and one I have watched again and again. I personally think he was great in it. He may not be the best actor around but I generally like his drama choices, and enjoy his performances. Reliable. He comes across as likeable and not all actors do, talented or not.

    • FAITH was also one of my favorites. (and I am not exactly any LMH fan) He was enjoyable to watch in City Hunter, less Personal Taste (cldn’t quite stand Sohn Ye-jin there). I definitely wasn’t A FAN OF Heirs

  4. For me LMH’s appeal(acting wise or personal) is his eyes. He has this beautiful eyes that can express any emotions and i can feel his soul.
I will remain as his fan for a long time.

  5. I was never a fan of LMH during his BOF and Personal Taste. By City Hunter, he looked handsome. Havent watched Faith due to much older actress counterpart since his chemistry with Son Ye Jin wasnt so good for me. Then The Heirs came, drama is one my fav to rerun. I love him there, eye expressions and chemistry with PSH. Later when i watch him in Gangnam Blues, i totally loved him there. Legend of blue sea, he did acting good but chemistry wasnt good with the actress too. I want his next co-star to be PSH or Lee Se Young or Gong Seung Yeon. Some one young and fresh. Hoping no more older or married actresses.
