This December comes a new legal drama based on a best selling novel and saddled with an incredible acting bonanza cast. Diary of a Prosecutor stars Lee Seon Kyun and Jung Ryeo Won as prosecutors in a small town in South Korea and chronicles their daily working lives. It’s described as not a legal thriller but as a slice-of-life look at being a prosecutor in South Korea. He’s the low key slacker type and she’s the gunner from Seoul sent down to the countryside and their clashing approaches will surely yield plenty of sparks. The poster mirrors the book jacket and I appreciate the straight forward transition from a strong source material to just bringing it to life. The drama airs in the jTBC time slot after Aide 2.

It would be hard to top his last drama role, but LSK has an eye for a good story. Fingers are crossed this is no exception.
