tvN is putting more genre and serious fare in the Mon-Tues time slot, there’s subway cop investigative drama Catch the Ghost right now and next comes teaching school drama Black Dog in early December. Black Dog reminds me so much of J-doramas as the teacher inspiration and growth genre is done much more frequently there, and of course remade to K-dramas in the past with Queen of the Classroom and others. Starring Ra Mi Ran as the senior teacher and Seo Hyun Jin as the young idealistic new arrival teacher, the drama is set in the halls and classrooms of a high school and focuses on the teaching staff rather than the students. If this story sounds interesting to you then the drama should be good, both actresses are excellent and moreover great at picking dramas.

Gosh for a moment there I thought SHJ was Goo Hee Won. I love RMR acting and I hope she’s the antagonist in this drama. Another classroom genre just like Mr Temporary. Her character in Reply 1988 is one of my all time favourites especially when she goes to audition for that talent quest show. If I ever need a pick me up lol that’s my go to. She’s just brilliant.
Catch the ghost is so addictive. I always love Moonie and she certainty does not disappoint here. KSH is also pretty good. Their chemistry in the drama is seriously no joke.
