Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin Exchange the Tense Darkness of OCN Drama Train for Cheery Marie Claire Korea Pictorial

Thanks to the addicting and well-drafted parallel worlds thriller drama Train, I’m over my Kyung Soo Jin allergy and reinvigorated with my Yoon Shi Yoon love. The drama is tightly compacted in its mythology about the parallel worlds and probably falls apart in wider focus but it does so well in picking a central focus with Yoon Shi Yoon’s Do Won the good cop and then everything fans out from his emotions and goals. Do Won the bad cop and dead Seo Kyung the prosecutor mean something because we want good Do Won to catch the killer, exonerate his dad (fully), and get his happy ending with Seo Kyung. Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin have such strong chemistry it makes even a standard procedural scene crackle with energy. The drama is such a fun weekend watch, I’ll be sad when it ends in 2 weeks but so happy I found an unexpectedly stirring OTP to root for.

  1. This drama is so good. The acting is so good. The chemistry is so good. The cute nature of the photoshoot is so good lol

  2. I love so much this drama , Yoon Shi Yoon works diligently since his debut and is now a very good actor . I think he can play any role .

  3. More proof more kdramas should be 12-14 episodes at most. I bet if it was longer, it would start to drag around this point and I’m glad production companies and networks haven’t been discouraged from this trend by viewers constantly saying things like saying “I wish this drama was longer!!” after these shorter then average dramas end.

  4. I’m so happy this drama gets appreciated. It’s the only currently airing drama I’m eager to watch weekly. It’s well-made. The parallel universe was better constructed than that previous drama with the same concept. Of course I didn’t expect the chemistry but it’s there..it’s real real. I kind of want SDW to stay in World B just so he can be with the living SK. They have better chemistry than SK1. Lol. It’s weird because they are the same actors. It only means their acting is so good that I can separate both leads from world A and B. Gosh. Did I already say I love this drama?

  5. You put words right out of my mouth. It’s a drama so well made. Love the two leads, they gave us solid acting and perfect chemistry. Plus they look so good together. Hope to see them team up again in a completely different genre, a romcom would be fun….

  6. Damn this drama is sooo good! A solid 10 stars and more. So glad you did a piece on it Koala otherwise I wouldn’t have watched it. It’s taut, so tightly packed, that there isn’t any wasted scene, and the plot is coherent and logical. Plus, the chemistry between the leads…oh la la! I will sorely miss this when it is over.
