When the Camellia Blooms and Crash Landing on You Cast Takes Home Prizes at 2020 Seoul International Drama Awards — 14 Comments

  1. The hallyu awards were really bizarre ..Stove League ?? It was a very good drama..and was awarded in Baeksang after all..But Hallyu?? Nope.
    Anyways congrats to the winners..
On a side note..i was really surprised to learn new definitions about Hallyu..SDA good job.??

    • Same goes for Kang Ha Neul. He did an amazing job and is a Baeksang awardee. But i m sorry to say WTCB is not at the same level of CLOY or IC in terms of Hallyu Success.
Instead of KHN , HB or Park Seo Jun were better suitors for Hallyu Best Actor Award.

  2. Excuse me?! CLOY and IC were The Hallyu breakthrough dramas and SYJ, HB and PSJ were the leaders of the new Hallyu wave. Nothing compares. Really weird awards system in SK.

  3. I’m happy for Extraordinary You! They deserve it. It was a small drama but they topped on ranking buzzworthy dramas and was one of the most searched korean tv shows on google for 2019.

Kang Ha Nul was really great in Camelia, so I’m happy for him. It wasn’t the best drama for Son Ye Jin, but it was fun.

  4. Odd choices for the hallyu winners. Wonder what the criteria even was lol, definitely doesn’t seem to be overseas success. Anyway, still happy for WTCB cast and crew. Loved that drama.

  5. GHJ as best actress? I can’t even. I can’t watch her in that drama. She was conscious acting there. Drama is not watchable because of her and she won? Wow. The world is upside down.

  6. Yes if its under hallyu category HB or PSJ shud be the winner since Cloy and IC r both successful locally and internationally. Isnt that wad hallyu supposed to be? Camellia is successful locally bt nt internationally. No offense to KHN but we r talkin abt hallyu here.

  7. I loved When The Camellia Blooms, but to me it was more of a “human” drama and not really Hallyu fare…Hallyu drama (for me) would be something more trendy? Lol…

  8. Congratulations to all the winners! My personal favorites are the cast, screenwriters, producers, director, and EVERYONE responsible for giving us the most enjoyable and memorable series ever: CRASH LANDING ON YOU. Extra special kudos to actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin!

  9. Gosh, people throwing shade. The article isn’t very complete. Gong Hyo-jin and the screenwriting for WtCB won from the main competition(Individual) not for Hallyu award. This is quite impressive. I’m assuming the award for the Hallyu for Best Actor was given to Kang Ha-neul as a consolation? He was also nominated in the main draw but lost to a Brit. Also, Park Seo-joon has won in the past for Hallyu star for Fight for My Way and these Korean drama award bodies like to spread things out. CLoY did win as one of the best Hallyu dramas. Itaewon Class did win the Silver Medal for Best Mini-series in the main competition.
