Shin Hye Sun in Talks for Reincarnation Romance Drama See You in My 19th Life and Will Be the First Host of SNL Korea’s New Season

It’s a great December for K-actress Shin Hye Sun as she’s lining up projects in succession. Last week came the news that she will be the first host of SNL Korea’s new season 2 coming up, it’s a great pick in every way as she’s such a versatile dynamic actress with impeccable comedic timing. Now comes news that she’s in talks to star in the 2022 romance drama based on incarnation cycles called See You in My 19th Life. It’s about a woman who remembers all her prior lives and in her 19th reincarnation aims to be with the love of her 18th reincarnation but finds out that her biggest rival is herself in that prior life. Buddhist beliefs in reincarnation is interesting especially that souls forget their past life so it has to be so much emotional burden to not forget it, and with it comes a lot of meaty issues to delve into. I’m looking forward to her shining return to the small screen and big screens in 2022 as she is also signed on to the K-movie Brave Citizen with Lee Jun Young.

  2. I would like to see Shin Hye Sun take on a serious drama. She is a good actress and hasn’t really had a serious role since she was supporting in Stranger a few years ago and that miniseries she did with Lee Jong Suk.

    • She already has filming serious role and hard carry role in movies : She’s Dead (thriller), Open the Door (horror-thriller), and Brave Citizen (action). I think she choose this drama becoz she want to rest but also want shooting a drama for next year.
