Okay this casting sounds a lot more aligned with the original work. K-ent is reporting that Daniel Choi is in talks to be the male lead in the upcoming K-drama remake of J-dorama Tomorrow’s Webtoon. It’s already confirmed to star Kim Se Jung who is coming off two successful dramas in a row with The Uncanny Counter and now A Business Proposal. Rising young actor Nam Yoon Soo is also signed on and I was a little apprehensive that he was ready for male lead roles, he has potential but I think he’s one more drama away from holding down the fort. With this trio the drama sounds a lot more suitably cast. The drama is slated to start production soon for a second half of 2022 release.
I’m not familiar with the Japanese original but I really hope Kim Se Jung is paired with Daniel Choi. I’ve become such a fan of hers – great voice and great acting & comedic chops! She was born to be a star.

He most likely play a counterpart of Joe Odagiri and I am psyched.
I do wonder if they will do some romance here in this adaptation, i hope not. I hope they follow the work setting slice of life narrative of the jdrama.
