Eom Ki Joon and Bong Tae Gyu Cameo in Shooting Star to Support Yoon Jong Hoon as the Drama Starts to Wrap Up a Less than Stellar Run

April and May was light for me on dramas to follow and one reason was that tvN Sat-Sun drama Shooting Star (Sh**ting Stars) was so underwhelming. It may have gotten better but I didn’t like the first two episodes and that was enough for me. I did tune in from time to time to check out the parade of K-ent star cameos most notably Kim Dong Wook and Moon Ga Young from their characters in Find Me in Your Memory. There are plenty more and this weekend Eom Ki Joon and Bong Tae Gyu showed up to cameo and support their Penthouse costar and now real life good friend Yoon Jong Hoon. I doubt they are playing their Penthouse characters hahaha since everyone kinda died there after three seasons of the makjang-iest makjang that ever makjanged. But then again, that got all the ratings and a realistic look at K-ent behind the scenes in Shooting Star is mired in mid 1% ratings.

  2. Watched all three seasons. Addicting as hell. KSY ten times more evil than Young Mi in All About Eve. Don’t think anything else can top Penthouse.

At one point KSY’s real life husband was sharing the screen with her tv ex husband and tv current lover. Total meta.

    • I’m on the 2nd season. IMO, the 1st season of Penthouse was a makjang masterpiece, it was amazing and pure crack, it had been so, so long since I had a true crack drama. 2nd season isn’t as good, you can sort of tell the writer is winging it more but it’s still enjoyable. I heard 3rd season is a hot mess, I’m getting mentally prepared for it already haha.

      • @Deb, it’s worth hanging on till the very end. Every imaginable twist and cliff-hanger you can think of doesn’t even scratch the surface. They are the reason one watches crack dramas. They delivered in spades. I don’t regret one bit.

Look out for Hera club members “wade of shame.” Karma has never been so sweet. Budget was well justified. The fashion and costumes alone are worth a look in.

      • Oops sorry that wade scene was in S1 haha. New characters would be introduced so enjoy the mad ride!

    • At this point I’m just waiting for the current shows to end to get new offerings. There’s nothing exciting for me at the moment

  3. I actually made it to ep 12 although it is more like playing in the background while I’m fiddling with my phone. I kept my expectations low but the acting is really cringe-y and I’m just hanging on for the cameos. The Penthouse trio reunion will be the best send off for this drama.
