Kang Sora to Make K-drama Comeback After Marriage and Baby with Streaming Drama Can We Be Strangers with Jang Seung Jo

A new streaming only drama just cast the leads and it’s a familiar face in a new pairing. K-actress Kang Sora was last on the small screen as a leading lady in the 2017 drama Revolutionary Love and in the interim til now she got married and had a baby. Prior to that she was basically a drama a year so it’s nice to hear she’s still planning on acting as she’s been cast as the lead in the drama Can We Be Strangers. Her male lead is Jang Seung Jo who was wasted in Snowdrop but in the right roles can be so compelling with quiet conviction most notably Encounter (Boyfriend) and Familiar Wife. The drama doesn’t have a streaming platform yet and based on timing will most likely air in 2023.

  1. Speaking of returning wives, Han Groo was also reported to have signed with an agency after her looooong hiatus.

Now if only we can get Chae Rim back on screen…

  2. Omo. My long time favs are active again. This is great news! I’m sooo happy that Kang Sora has made a comeback this fast after having her baby. Really miss her. She’s my ultimate Ms Korea tied with Honey Lee. Lol.

Han Groo’s adorable twins must be entering elementary school now. I totally ship her with Yeon Woo Jin in Marriage Not Dating. Chae Rim, can’t believe it’s been nearly 20 years since All About Eve and Four Sisters.

  3. Kang Sora looking gorgeous after marriage and being a mother.
    Like this new pairing.
Hoping it will be a good drama.
    Long wait till 2023 lol.

  4. This is good news, really good news!!! Someone posted earlier that Han Groo is likely coming back too and I legit screamed when I heard that. She’s way too good for her to stay out of dramas.

  5. 2023??? SMH? Kang Sora runs the risk of losing her adoring fans with such a gap in her film career. I enjoy her beauty and humor in kdramas. Just a bit disappointed in the time gap?!? Look forward to whenever she returns!
