Mystery Queen to Have Second Season on KBS Next Year with Leads Choi Kang Hee and Kwon Sang Woo Likely Returning

There’s finally a positive in the generally dismaying results when K-dramas try to do a season 2 or even a sequel to milk a popular drama. The underrated and much loved KBS detective housewife drama from earlier this spring Mystery Queen (Queen of Mystery) has gotten the greenlight from the network to come back for a season 2 next year in 2018. That’s great news as the set up and execution was refreshing and fun enough to make this one of my most liked K-dramas this year so far. Even better is hearing that leads Choi Kang Hee and Kwon Sang Woo are likely returning, they were the central spotlight of what made the drama work with their delightfully charming banter and bicker routine that all partner type narratives aspire to but is so difficult to do right.
